Calais to nice using A75 route

Hi Could any one let me know what the route to south of france is like via the A75 I have been told that it is a good road mainly dual carriage way and the odd toll road.my only concern is that one report is that one section has a lot of lomg steep gradiants.Has
any one used this route and could thy give any advice please.

I will be towing a Baily Sancerre with a Mondeo 2lt deisel 140 hp engine. Thanks
