Hi There,

Having recently returned from our 1st trip to France with the van we are in the process of looking for suitable sites for our 2017 holiday.

Would like to go down the the Pyrenees, having looked through the current CC information we are struggling to find a suitable site.  Can anybody recommend one near the Pyrenees - not too fussed which side as thinking of Sailing into Santandar.

Looking for a site that is has some entertainment for kids (ours are 10 and 7).  So outdoor pool; table tennis and the like would be great.  Can anybody recommend a site?

Thanks in advance

Darren

Camping Pyrenees Natura at Estaing is on my bucket list - but the swimming pool is in the village rather than at the campsite.

We've stayed at Natura and loved it. No organised entertainment for children, but if they enjoy hiking, biking, fishing, wildlife spotting etc it's ideal. A bit remote, no shops etc nearby, but the scenery is just sublime. Nice big pitches, very good showers, good takeaway food. Right on the GR 10, and not far from the lake. I want to be there again.....now!

As you're sailing into Santander, the Spanish side of the Pyrenees Is different, but equally spectacular. Ainsa is lovely. Or maybe the Picos, wonderful places.

We were at a site called Pre Lombard (Yelloh Village) at Terrascon sur Ariege 3 years ago, although we were there out of season it was obvious it was a family orientated site. It was well set up with what you require plus more. It even had a junior shower/toilet
block. Terrascon is at the Eastern side of the  Pyrennes and is quite central for touring that area. I liked the area and would certainly return, it seemed quieter than the Western side.
