Robbed on way to Barcelona

The fake police are out again. On another forum a motorhomer was robbed of cash by the "fake" police earlier. Stopped and told they were checking passports and looking for fake money.

    Never stop unless you are 100% sure they are actually police, keep going to a service area. Better to have to try and explain you were unhappy about stopping rather than being mugged, that applies in the UK as well!

    All police cars in Spain will have markings, even "unmarked cars": blue lights in the grills, the passenger visor will be replaced by an electronic sign which can be read in a rear view mirror and there will be a similar sign in the rear window.  The officers
    will wear hi-viz uniforms.  If in doubt phone 062 and check the registration number.  More info

    They now know that as that is what they've been told by the "real"police.
