Called in at my local Lidl today and saw they have some camping gear which may be of interest to some people, including breathable mats, a folding table, a storage cupboard, some tents etc. Not the extent of Aldi's stock but worth keeping an eye out for if in store.

I bought a standard size Steam Iron today at ASDA (own brand) for the princely sum of £4. It has a 2 year ASDA guarantee, which in practice means instant refund with no quibbles The important part is that it is 1200W so should not trip those 6 Amp supplies so common in Europe.
