Staggered to see the Women's 100 metre finals last night taking place in an almost totally empty stadium ! I can understand the Marathon being run at Midnight Dohar time with few spectators for reasons of temperature / humidity but when Dina Asher-smith came second for her Silver medal in the 100 she reacted to the…
Well, that was a bit of a surprise, an experimental England 'beating' Wales! Still a few warts on show but very promising. Wonder how next week's encounter will pan out?
A long overdue honour for one of the country's greatest cricketers - from the era when cricketers were sportsmen first and "celebrities" second. Controversial, it's bound to be, but for me, "Congratulations Sir Geoffrey Boycott" - one of Theresa May's better decisions!

Oh the dilemma, what to watch.....Cricket World Cup Final, British GP, Wimbledon Men's Final or the Tour de France. No wonder my head hurts, Guess it'll have to be fingers on the button and perhaps radio and head phones too.

Any one else booked into a Yorkshire Site to watch any of the races in September? We are hoping to catch both the Men’s Elite Time Trial, and the Men’s Elite Road Race, plus anything else we can fit in! Going to use Lower Wensleydale Club Site as our base, although I suspect we will be out and up on Moors very very early…
