Must say that the fireworks displays today was the best yet. ( I mean those travelling at 150mph or more).

Was this down to a change in the rulebook for this year or courtesy of the host nation?

More downforce on the aero package this year perhaps. Shame for poor old Leclerc after he had done so well.

Not a lot of action at the front end but the mid-field certainly provided a bit of excitement yesterday.

Hamilton, he pitted under the safety car so had some nice fresh tyres.😀

Did anyone else see Seb Vettel's very moving tribute to Charlie Whiting?

After a fairly nail-biting finish, Lewis Hamilton is in an almost unassailable position now.

I don't think there was anything Max could have done yesterday. Even if he had come in for a tyre change both he and Lewis would have been neck and neck just earlier in the race. Red Bull are very canny with their car development and they seem to be getting more out of the Honda engine than many expected. Perhaps it will be difficult to over take Lewis this year but I suspect all bets are off for next year.

RB gambled and lost, seem to have the start sorted though.

According the Christian Horner they would have ended up in exactly the same position had they changed the tyres when they had the pit window opportunity. The view was that on the same tyres in the same condition the Mercedes was faster so its unlikely Max would have won.

Might have given Max a better fighting chance as it was he had no chance.

Anyone think that Leclerc was a bit naughty and should have received a penalty? Was it because he was in a Ferrari?

Just hard racing IMO. OTOH Vetals penalty was lenient.

A bit naughty, come on, the kids got talent but a black and white flag for running someone off the track when a young man tragically lost his life only eight days ago, and then he cuts the chicane a few minutes later with no punishment, jeez Ferrari and Monza, what ever next???

As Hamilton says young drivers are getting away with so much more.  Verstappen provided excitement but his party piece when defending was moving under braking when it was an absolute no no.

if it’s because it’s Ferrari it didn’t work for Sebastian about 3 times this year particularly in Canada.  New race director different view?
