Several people have reported using the magnetic nets successfully. Much cheaper than the fitted job too.

Google "fly screens for motorhomes" It should give you options.

I found nets on doors to be futile. You open them to go in and out and the mosquitos come in. . You close the door net afterwards and you are shutting the mosquitos in. Once they are in they will bite you unless you use sprays or creams to repel them or burners to kill them.

What about those magnetic ones that you walk through the middle of? No experience, but they're sold in stores for house doors. Thus, the opening is just your shape, rather than the door hole.

If you are going to France and Spain at the end of the summer, unless your MH has habitation aircon, you are probably going to need the hab door open for ventilation during the hottest periods. My experience of magnetic insect screens is that they flap about in the breeze with the attendent risk of the little blighters getting inside.

Have you considered getting a cassette screen for your Benimar ? They may cost a bit more but they are much more effective and more durable. I find the one fitted as standard on my Dethleffs to be excellent; it slides across the opening and also doubles as a way of discouraging our small dog from jumping out.

Was the cassette an after fit and did you go straight to Dethleffs to fit?

I have curtains which are velcroed to the top of the door opening and are lead weighted at the bottom. They are not magnetic and as JimE says they do flap about in the wind so while they do offer some protection, they are not a total seal. I find mosquitos not so much of a problem as they once were and we have not been bothered by them over the last 3 years. That said, we do carry vape mats and the electric heater to heat them should we need a deterrent They used to be available from Boots for a few pounds.

It was fitted as standard, just inside the door frame.
