Honda 2013 CRV SR Lights for driving in France.
My new 2013 CRV manual says that European models with high intensity headlights do not require headlight adjustment for driving on the left or the right. Does this mean when I go to France this year I will not require beam benders?

That page appears to refer to height adjustment being automatic, which is not the same as driving on left or right. I would not be surprised if you trawl through the various menus you find a selection for driving on the left or driving on the right, as both our VW group cars have. If not in a menu, then I would check with a Honda dealer.

The problem might be explaining that the English language manual says no adjustment is needed to a French Gendarme who cannot read English. I would speak to he dealer and see what they say although a trawl through motoring web sites might help. For what they cost a set of stick on masks might save a lot of trouble.

It really is down to the type of "bulb" and specific vehicle. I've had halogen bulbs on several cars, some of which required beam benders whilst one had the ability to adjust the beam angle from basically right hand drive to left hand drive set-up. Sticking a pair of beam benders on just in case is not the way to go.
Currently I have Xenons and due to the beam pattern no adjustment is needed and no beam benders are required. I gather that fitting the later could be potentially dangerous as the distortion of the beam would mean I could not see where I was going and confuse/distract oncoming traffic.
