What’s your dream destination for a worldwide tour?

Hi everyone,
If you could plan the ultimate overseas motorhome or caravan tour, where would you go and why?
Would it be the highways of the USA or the dramatic coastlines of New Zealand? Or how about somewhere more off the beaten path, like the Australian Outback?
For me the idea of combining travel with a motorhome seems the perfect way to truly take in what a country has to offer. There’s something really special about having the freedom of your own space on wheels while discovering new places and cultures.
I’d love to hear your dream travel plans. Whether it’s a place you’ve already explored, something you’ve been planning forever, or just a wild dream you’d love to make happen some day, share your ideas below- your comment might inspire someone else’s next adventure!
Speaking of inspiration, if you’re considering a worldwide tour, we’ve got something that might be helpful to you. Check out our free webinar about motorhome tours in Southern Africa. It’s a chance to learn about exploring one of the world’s most stunning and diverse regions of the world from the comfort of a motorhome.

Could quite fancy the West Coast of USA, but would want a proper 4x4 set up, to do some adventurous stuff. Same with Australia as well. We like off the beaten track stuff in UK, but some of the overseas tours need some specialist equipment to have a proper adventure. Miles of long roads are a bit boring to be honest.

Our own first faraway dream was to visit the Taj Mahal ..A motorhome would have been superfluous - as were an escort and a tour leader. We just booked a flight and went.

I think Japan would be fascinating. Would love a ride on a Bullet Train, nearest I have got to that is the mock up in the National Railway Museum in York.

I'd actually want a worldview tour and circle the Earth and see it from space. No need for M/H or Caravan.
Earthbound I'd like to take my time travelling across Canada from east to west and end up on Vancouver Island. We'd take in some of the Northern areas of Canada as well

A complete circuit of New Zealand would be my primary choice, although I would also like to do the tour of Canada as described by @Wherenext

I saw a possum in New Zealand last year, it was lying on my feet whilst I slept. It was only because of the contrast between the white sheets of the bed and the dark shape that I saw anything. I assumed it was a cat and as I jumped up it escaped through the partly open sliding door ( it was a hot night) onto the verandah. When I mentioned a cat to the receptionist the following morning, her reply was there are no cats in the National Park, it would have been a possum, This was confirmed by the guy next door who had a possum enter their room whilst they were watching TV,
Possums, stoats and rats are the targets of the Predator Free 2050 eradication programme. We are talking in the millions. Everywhere we went in South Island we saw evidence of Poison baiting

Great idea! If you're looking for off-road adventures in Australia, we can set you up with a 4x4 motorhome for a more rugged experience, perfect for exploring the remote areas beyond the highways. Otherwise, have you considered Southern Africa? We offer 4x4 vehicles for hire from Cape Town or Johannesburg in South Africa, as well as in Windhoek in Namibia. A road trip that includes a safari through Kruger National Park is definitely an adventure!

We totally get it—some places like the Taj Mahal are best explored with a flight and a local guide. While we can't book motorhomes in India, we can certainly make it a stopover on the way to other destinations, like New Zealand or Australia, where we can set up an unforgettable road trip!

Japan is amazing, and the Bullet Train is a must! But if you ever want a more laid-back road trip there, a motorhome can take you to places the trains can't, like Hokkaido or the Japanese Alps. We’re always on the look out for new destinations where we can offer motorhome trips, so keep an eye out in the future. Japan is on a lot of the Worldwide team’s bucket lists!

A trip around the world sounds incredible - unfortunately, we don’t offer space travel at the moment! However, we can help you with a coast-to-coast motorhome trip in Canada — lots of wildlife, scenic views, and peaceful drives. The other option would be to drive around West Canada in a motorhome through the Rockies and Vancouver Island, then pick up a train across to the East Coast. Let us know if you’re ever keen to plan it!
