Obviously the Castle Douglas one appeals on so many level

    It has been noted!!!😀

WN, as you can see I have had no luck either in getting the @Wh... to work and have no way of highlighting your last sentence. Bring back the old CT, as at least it worked much better for me!😁

@ddMa@Maddie thanks for the list. It is a shame though that the site fee for Greetham House Farm has not been updated, as it is still from 2016!

AAs you can see I am still having problems with @ facility and the doubling up of first letters when starting new paragraphs.

@CLMaddie will the above list of new and closed site have to be included in the new Site Directory? In fact how far back on your lists will I need to go to ensure that the information in the 2025 SD is as per the current situation?

Thanks again, but could you please ensure that those sites that have been previously listed and have reopened show their current, ie 2025 price, and not the one from years back! @CLMaddie

It's just the rejoining ones @nelliethehooker. I've not long ago stayed at a CL that's been going for decades but the price for 25/26 is out of date as was the 23/24 one. I was informed of the current price when booking but there doesn't seem to be any pressure on CLs to update their records on the website or for the directory.

@Wherenext I always enquire of the current price but it would be really helpful if those in charge of the CL section could ensure that the up-to-date prices are displayed. I have recently come across a CL where it is still showing the pitch price from 2016!!

I think you raise a valid point @nelliethehooker . @CLMaddie , I have to ask, is it really that difficult to keep prices up to date? I don’t recall seeing any other product/service with quoted prices so much out of date.

Thanks @Freddy55 , but I doubt that we will get a response from @CLMaddie or anyone else at HO.

Hiya @nelliethehooker , yes, I just noticed one of your previous posts where you tagged Maddie and received zero response. It’s a bit rude really.

Of course this is assuming that CLs actually inform the club about prices changes, if they don't then it's hardly the club's fault. If they do then it is.

WN raises a good question, can CL's change their own website entry?

I am sure the Club must have a procedure in place to remind CL's to update prices but it seems a number of CL's, for one reason or another, don't do this. Is it something that the CL Inspectors could follow up on? I often pose this question, which the Club would probably be unlikely to answer, but there is probably a finite amount of money the Club is willing to spend each year on administering CL's. It therefore makes sense for members to establish the price on booking?

Surely the club requires every CL to submit an up-to-date listing each year listing their facilities, prices and confirming or changing direction instructions to ensure that the information is correct. Perhaps as DavidK has suggested there is a breakdown between this information being submitted and it finding its way into the SD or web pages.

@nelliethehooker I suppose it depends how much you expect the Club to do on this score? I am sure there must be a procedure to contact the CL's each year asking for up to date information. If a CL doesn't reply does the Club assume nothing has changed? It's always possible a CL might contact the Club and an update might be missed. It would be useful if @CLMaddie could perhaps give us an insight into how the Club addresses these issues. Now having said that I don't know what other demands there are on @CLMaddie time as she might have several roles in the Club?

As the sites directory handbook covers a two year period it's bound to be out of date sometime through that and not much use. The club may or may not require or ask CLs to give up to date information but if they don't, and surely it's in their interests to do so, then the club can't force them to.

I seem to remember sometime ago a CL owner saying that contact between the CL and Club over issues such as price wasn’t always acted on by the Club. But that was some years ago. The only people who really know the answer are the CL owners.
