New Entry rules for Spain

According to a news report I read, the new entry rules requiring visitors to the country to provide more information on arrival will apply to caravanners and campers also. This includes full details of where you will be staying.

When we go to Spain with our caravan we never book in advance and even when we plan to stay in a specific site at the end of our journey down we visit places we’ve never been before and could easily stay longer or make detours. I’ve not seen anything from the club about this.

I think you will find the new rules require the campsite to collect the data when you arrive, so no need to worry about not having an advance booking.

I wonder how automated camperstops (with no reception) are going to comply ?

The whole thing seems to be running into trouble as possible breach of privacy rules and hotel guests not willing to provide the information. Time will tell if it lasts.

It does sound like booking in will take a fair bit longer at busy sites as the staff struggle to deal with the extra work.
