Another free night offer
I assume others have got the email this afternoon. Some interesting, points, Q&A and another free night offer. This time you have to book two nights minimum but the first is free for bookings 3rd January to 31st march. Thank you once again club.

Actually I hadn't thought about like that!

We received the post today, and will probably be using the offer at the earliest opportunity. Was able to use the last one to visit a new site for us. Unfortunately there are very few sites open in our region during the winter, so it will have to visit one we have used before.

Have you received them in the past? My email was dated as 12.48pm today. Perhaps they send them in batches? If you have not received one in the next couple of days maybe ring the Club. There is a code on the email which I imagine is personal as otherwise it could be used more than once?

should get my January work rota by mid December so will have time to book something. Always but if a risk booking ahead in winter but at least only £5 deposit.

We received the free night offer, and the previous ones, but have not/will not be able to use them . As Nellie said, not much open up here, and as they are all for times when we do not usually go away, not worth the effort of getting the van back on the road.
Would be nice to get one with “no or fewer strings attached”, perhaps one that is just a set amount off a pitch, to be used anytime.

Isn't it the whole point of the offer that CAMC is trying to get people to use sites during the quiet season?

Quite possibly, in fact most likely, but the way it is worded in the e mail is as if this is a treat for members.
It would be interesting to know what percentage of members do regularly go away before the end of March.
I see that Easter is very late in 2025, so extending the offer cut off date a bit into April would still not include the BH, but would at least mean that more sites are open, and the weather maybe a little warmer.

"Quite possibly, in fact most likely, but the way it is worded in the e mail is as if this is a treat for members"
That's marketing for you, Kj. It sounds so much better than "We want you to book pitches so we'll give you a free night to entice you to spend money"😂😂4 -

I expect quite a few do, to make use of the offer. We certainly did this year, even if sadly, it was the last trip we had away in our motorhome. Weather wasn't too bad either.

No idea now what our weather was like back then David, but it had been very wet in the York area where we went in early April!
With Easter being late, schools up here are not finished until 4th April, so that rules out us going away before then as DD and the boys usually come away with us for several days.
Having to book by the end of December does not help either as we cannot decide that far ahead anyway.
And probably easier to go for a short break if using a MH rather than a caravan.
So looks like we will have to “pass” on this offer.

Well it is a treat for me and probably others that use it. A free night is worth around £40 for me so yes it is a treat.
I think your question could be what percentage of members who use club sites go away in the winter months? Or even better what is the occupancy on the sites open then? As this is another free night offer I assume all have been very successful in getting more outfits on pitches.
From my experience, and confirmed again last night, those sites open over winter are very well used.

Okay so I apologise in advance coz I'm new to this. I've got the free night code, I want to book something with it, I've gone into the booking pages and started booked a 2 night stay, but I can't see anywhere to enter the code.
Can someone tell me where it goes?

The email is a bit non specific! I think the way it works is that the code is applied when you arrive on site either by a reduction on the total fee or a refund if you have paid in full before you arrive. Interesting to note that you only have to book two nights where previous offers have required a three night booking.

Ditto…Although in our early 80's we are fortunate to be able to tour all year and do so using a selection of Club sites / CL's and private sites and a couple of months abroad. Sadly, the down side to that this year is the reduced number of sites open during this period..One of our favourite sites is Cayton Village but is closed for the winter period so from Sunday we are using the Bridlington site for a few days by the coast…my point being that the occupancy of Bridlington will be boosted by the closure of Cayton. Which, along with quite a few others we know would have been the preferred site this week sitting equidistant to Brid, Filey, Scarborough and Whitby.

Quite right, I didn't scroll down enough! At least my guess work was right😉

Doh! 😁 - I see it now. Thanks! I guess I'm using to ignoring small print at the bottom of long emails - lesson learnt!

Interesting that this free night, you have to book at least two nights. I know the freebie we used last Winter had only date restrictions, not “only if you book a minimum of x nights”. Can’t remember about the one in Autumn.

It was 3 nights early this year but I have just looked at the email that arrived in October and it didn't seem to specify a length of stay, I even scrolled down to look at the small print, am I missing something?

@DavidKlyne the totally free, even if you only book one night offer, was Spring of this year. I think it was the very first Free night, because I remember saying to OH that at last after nearly 40 years of being a Member, we have a thank you!🤭 We used ours at Bolton Abbey, and did stay two more nights, so the Club did benefit. Never seen that Site as full so early in season (first week of re opening) and chatting with folks, and the Staff, general opinion was that lots of folks were making the most of the freebie. It dropped lovely for us, we would have been using a nice CL in the area, but opted for the Club Site instead, as it was closer to an event for us. Our Membership lapsed end of August, we did get the second free night offer, but cannot recall exact details of this. Can’t get away at the moment🙁

I got the last one.... and have used it, but have had nothing this week.... 😢😢😢 Far be it for me to miss out on a free night offer!!!
I did get an email about 'The latest November Member Offers', but that was to go with Majestic Wine, Hotpoint, and other 'external offers'....
I'll keep an eye out.....
