In the past members have recommended Camping les Capucines at Ranville, but their website now says they close at 7pm. Try an E mail and see what they say.
Camping at the farm (Mr Chevalier) at Lion sur Mer is getting recommendations on other forums but again I don’t know if he would welcome you at that time of night.
Personally I would use a ferry at a different time or on a different route.
Perhaps you will let members know what you decide.

I do not understand the objections to the Riva Bella site. In the past there has been concern over the itinerants by the entrance but there were none in June this year. Security is as good as any site. There have been discussions as to whether or not they take bookings for one night; well if you book through the Club you can get a one night stay. It is very convenient for the port. The facilities have improved over the past few years. You may be lucky and get a pitch which allows you to remain hitched up. Agree, I do not think I would wish to stay there for long but for one night it is fine.

Camping Riva Bella has changed hands yet again - the owners are now shown as Marvilla Parks and a huge amount of money has been spent. It looks a lot better and I suspect all the old reviews are out of date - and yet it’s hard to find any 2024 comments. They are needed.
But one point worth mentioning is that the site closes at the end of the season on 29 September 2024 so that will rule it out for some.0
