Le Logis du Breuil
Considering a trip to Le Logis du Breuil in September. Hoping to use my Avtex Tourer Two Sat Nav to guide me, however and rather disappointingly the site is not preloaded on European Club Sites menu on the sat nav. Has anyone been able to use this model sat nav to get to Le Logis du Breuil ?
The gps co-ordinates for the site are as follows; Latitude 45.674792 Longitude -1.0958210000000008 however I cant figure out how to enter these co-ordinates on the sat nav!!
Any thoughts or help would be appreciated.
Thanks

Try this.
Select Where to? -> Categories -> Coordinates
Select the spanner icon and change the coordinate format if necessary. Yours above are decimal degrees, another option in the menu would be degrees minutes seconds, which you don't want in this case.
Enter the latitude and longitude coordinates.
Your coordinates above are possibly too high a resolution, you may have to trim the decimal places. You might have to use 45.675 (North) and -1.096 (East). Minus sign is critical there.
Lat/Long is quite a common way of specifying locations over here, not so much so in the UK.
Enjoy your break, (assuming you find the site ).

Please don’t worry. It really is very easy to get there without all that mathematics. Just make your way to StAugustin - by map or by sat nav - the site is very large and prominent and you can’t miss it in a small village.
It’s nearly 50 years since we first went there - a farm site then and we pitched in a field after the hay was cut. How it had changed when we went back to see it many years later.
There is no need to book in advance for a September visit. The site is large and the crowds will have gone. And while you are in the area have a look at Camping Beausoleil in the centre of La Palmyre . We found it to be a much more convenient location?

Does your car allow you to use Google Maps, via your phone? If so all you need to enter is the site name and it will take you there.

Hi, thank you for taking the time to respond to my post.
Unfortunately the Avtex tourer two sat nav does not allow for a minus value to be entered.
Thanks again

Hi, thanks for taking the time to respond to my quote. I have previously visited Le logis, back in 1998 long before sat nav's were a thing ! I guess I manged to get there then so I'm sure I could again!

Thanks for taking the time to respond to my post......as good as google maps may be, I'm not sure it allows for suitable roads for towing a caravan as per the Avtex Touter sat nav .
Thanks again though

I gave up with co-ordinates but have never had a problem with my Tourer Two getting me anywhere in Europe....
Overseas address:
Change Country/Postcode/House No. if any/Street
You can also send a link using the Garmin Drive app to the sat nav via Bluetooth by using the 'Where To? search....
Save to Favourites & you can edit & save to categories..... shopping/car parks/ports etc

The reason I mentioned Google maps is that it's a useful tool to familiarise yourself with the immediate surroundings to a campsite and with the use of Street View its easy enough to see the approach roads. You could even check out the suggested route from your Sat Nav on Google Maps to make sure you are happy with your approach to the site.
