When I renewed last month the link for cards wouldn't work for me so I called membership services. The call was answered promptly and was informed that my 20 year window sticker would also be sent out. It took 5 minutes out of my day and the person was very friendly and professional.
If you wish to cancel your membership you'll have to call membership services to do it. As you mention your sub starts on 1st November I would assume that as long as you call before that you'd get a full refund.
Greenflag breakdown don't offer the same services as Mayday.

When you click the link do you get through to the "My Membership" page? If you get that far what happens when you click "order your Membership Card"?
I don't have any Apple products now just a Windows PC and Laptop and an Android phone and tablet.

I have just followed the link and I get a different page to the one shown above. It shows both of our names and a box to tick if we want cards and then a submit button which I did not press as we already have new cards. I am using Windows 10 and Chrome.

As I mentioned upthread, our membership is due for renewal on the 1st of next month. I haven't renewed yet, so haven't clicked on the link in the email for physical cards.
Like DK, I did go into my Membership profile though, and once there, I clicked on the Digital membership cards, which then opened a window with info about it, plus FAQs below that. Within the FAQs, the last one asks if you can still get a physical card. When I clicked on that, there was another link to click on, which I did. It then brought up a page with both our names with a tickbox next to each one. I didn't go any further, as we have cards for this year, so don't know whether that would result in the same message as others get when requesting cards.
Possibly worth trying that way? Or perhaps it's device specific, whether that link works or not. I'm using an Android tablet.

I got quite a "grilling" on my last visit to a club site, because my membership card was out of date. This despite having an already fully paid for booking and having been a member for many years. I don't think I will rush out and spend hundreds of pounds on a new smartphone just because my present one is apparently too old to run the "app". That would hardly be a "responsible journey to protect the environment" compared to a small piece of paper ! I will reluctantly ask for a physical card, which should be an opt-out rather than an opt-in. I find the whole club attitude behind this annoying, so hope the management read this (which I doubt).

I suspect it not the phone but the software on the phone which is causing the issue. I imagine when they write Apps there is only so far they can go in terms of backward compatibility. My Android Smart Phone is now 5 years old and that seems to deal with the Club App OK. In terms of whether anyone from Club management will see your post, its difficult to tell. Far better probably to write direct to the Club. If you do, give them details of the phone and the software version just in case they know of a work round.

You don’t really need the App to show it on your phone.
I assume your phone will still load the website. Just take a screen grab of it. Both primary and secondary members cards are available in my profile.0 -

If you look below the card you will see your name. Touch on it and the name of the secondary member will also appear. Touch on that and the card will change to one with their name. Not obvious I agree, as it doesn’t indicate it’s a drop down box.
