Do you mean it gives separate routes for caravans? I see no evidence of that .

Or do you mean that they simply increase the timings they claim to be possible, and give  a class 2 toll cost as well as for class 1.?

Frankly some of their suggested routes are ridiculous for towing a caravan.

At last it is back, and also on the website. I do not believe it gives separate routes for caravans, just increases the travel time. Even in it's new format, that I do not find as user friendly, I still find it useful as the on road times are generally accurate and the toll costings function help you find an alternative and less costly option.

It’s back , but peddling nonsense. Take the route Via Michelin suggests for towing a caravan from Looe to Tintagel - both have Club sites so visitors may be caught out.  But those of us who know that route wouldn’t dream of towing a caravan that way.

The problem is that local knowledge, and/or a decent small scale paper map, outperform AI route planners, whichever one you look at when it comes to narrow country lanes.  I don't know the route from Looe to Tintagel suggested by Viamichelin well enough to decide whether it's a good one or a bad one for a caravan, but obviously Eurotraveller does.  Many people rely on SatNavs, though, and it is difficult to find one with a caravan-specific route planner (even the ones offered by the clubs).

Out of interest, and in case I ever decide to take my caravan from Looe to Tintagel, which route would Eurotraveller suggest (Google maps offers three).

I've just answered (on another forum) a query from someone about a route avoiding Paris, and the route suggested by google was either all non-toll, or toll, with no option of doing what many of us do - take the toll road for the difficult sections through towns, and take the N roads for the long stretches of straight country roads.  However, Viamichelin suggests three alternatives routes, one which includes a mix of toll and non toll roads, and is the one that most of us would take.
