Harwich port - staying overnight

We're on Harwich to Hook of Holland Ferry in 2 weeks towing a caravan.  We're hoping to stay overnight at the Port before the 9am sailing - has anyone done this recently?   The information on various forums is a few years old so I want to be sure its OK.  I've rung Stena Line but got the call centre in Northern Ireland who couldn't tell me anything.

    I've just looked up some old paperwork for the crossing you plan and the telephone number I had was 0343 208 1801. Is this who you have been calling?

    Peter,   Google it. There are reports on line in various forums of overnighting there going back many years,  but as recently as August 2023

    Yes Google is you friend, says you can just clear with security when you arrive.  Give the port a call.

    Quite a few stay overnight, they park on the left of the checkin booths
