Camping De Sologne Salbris, France.

Hello, I was wondering if anyone has stayed at Camping de Sologne in Salbris within the last couple of years. ( This is the site next to a lake and very close to the centre of Salbris.) It is many years since we last stayed here and we remember it as a campsite many used as a stop over on the way south. People used to start piling in from 2pm til the evening just for the night without a booking. If you stayed longer than the one night it was a very quiet site the next day when folk continued their journey.

Can anyone confirm if it has remained as that type of campsite or has it changed to more longer stays. We are considering calling in first week of June.

thank you

Ray

Trip Advisor and UKCampsite both have reviews dated August 2023. Have you looked?

Hi, thats good to know. Yes we always found it a good stop over for a couple of nights. Lots of memories with  young family and then later with friends. This time just the wife and myself.

If you get there and it has no space this campsite could be used as an alternative http://www.davidklyne.co.uk/camping_la_grande_sologne.html Its a bit further north up the D2020. At first I thought it might have been the same site but it has a slightly similar name.
