How many nights away in 2023?
Our final total was 125 nights away. I think that is the most we have ever done in any one year. We typically average 100 nights with the majority spent on the Continent. Last years total (2023) was made up as follows:
CMC nights 6
Continental 66
Commercial 30
Rallys 4
CL 14
C&CC 5
CS/THS 0
Others 0
The longest trip was 43 days the shortest 2 days and the total mileage was nearly 9000

91 for us, about 15 less than planned as we shortened our UK tour to get some work done on the van.
CAMC 38
C&CC 13
France 40
There would have been 3 nights on a commercial, plus more of both clubs if we hadn’t shortened.
The longest trip was 45 days and the shortest 3. Total mileage was just over 4000.

We didn't do much at all in 2023 mainly as result of a cancelled trip because of Margaret's hip causing her mobility issues. Only a total of 33 nights which is very low for us but not so unusual if compared when we were working and the boys came with us.
CMC 17
CMC Affiliated 4
C&CC 4
Commercial 8
Only covered about 1500 miles. Longest trip away 14 nights. Site costs £1124 so an average of about £34 a night.

We managed 133 nights in total, about our norm.
Over 2 trips the spring one was car and caravan 60 nts, the autumn trip was MH 72 nts. We only stayed in France on the spring trip.
France 68 nts
Spain 41 nts
Portugal 11 nts
CMC 1 nt
C&CC 3 nts
CL 4 nts
Private 2 nts
Ferries 3 nts
Miles 8982 mls split over 2 long trips, 1 with car and caravan, 1 with the MH.
Add to that 21 nights in the Canaries but we didn't take the van there 😅
Hopefully this year will be around the same.

We were away for 74 nights which is slightly down what we usually do - largely as a result of Ros's accident in April. Made up of:
55 CLs /CSs
3 Commercial
16 CAMC
What is noticeable is that our average nightly cost went up to £28pn from £22, last year - largely attributable to increase in CAMC pitch fees.

3 CL/CS

13 Aires
4 O/Seas sites

Longest trip was 3 weeks in July spent in the Cotswolds also had 10 nights at Chester during May and a week in Blackpool in March and a week in Yorkshire in October the rest were just weekends or long weekends away locally. Hope to do similar or more nights this year

Late start to the year meant a reduced amount spent touring but did manage 80 nights.
12 on Commercial sites
4 on CAMC site
64 on CLs.
We did get 26 nights in cottages on 5 breaks, including 4 nights in a Gite in France, 2 nights B&B (a rarity for us) and 1 night on a ferry. In a condensed 7 month spell.

What is noticeable is that out of the 1433 nights listed above only just over 150 were spent on Caravan Club sites. I appreciate that CT is not representative of the club as a whole but there must be a valid reason why it is such a low percentage. Maybe those that post on CT are a more discerning lot!!🤔🤔 😁😁
