has the club abandoned its phones?
It would appear so..... I have now spent TWO HOURS this morning trying to get someone to answer the phone at the Foreign Travel service to amend a booking. Whichever number i call NO ONE ANSWERS THE BLEEPING PHONES! I am heartily sick of hearing the 'experiencing a high volume of calls' excuse message in response to which ever number i try to get a human being (remember those) to actually speak to me. When i tried the call back service i did eventually get a response, but that person simply put me into another queue....... WHAT?! This is totally cr8p and is no way to run a business. I feel like i am in some sort of Kafkaesque nightmare.
NOTHING SHORT OF A FULL REFUND WILL NOW SUFFICE AND THE CLUB CLEARLY DO NOT VALUE ITS MEMBERS AND THEREFORE CAN MANAGE WITHOUT MY MEMBERSHIP AND INCOME. I AM OUT OF HERE.

Almost two hours since posting this and no comment from the club. I suspect they only employ Rowena….. Would the chairman put up with this level of service with club suppliers? Be aware club hierarchy, If I end up out of pocket from this debacle I will pursue the club through the small claims court.

Rowena, please explain how that helps me get through? No one answers the phones!!!!! It simply isn’t acceptable service. I expect the club to get someone to contact me directly and get my booking changes sorted. I assume the club have a service agreement with the team responsible which includes answering phone calls in a timely manner? If not why not?

I received a call at 5.28pm and 5.30pm as I was manoeuvring my caravan so could not answer. No message was left and when I return called the number it just rings. I tried the travel number to get the automated message to the effect the office closes at 5.30……

I am not holding my breath any more. I could also rant about the inability to phone a travel agent in an evening when people are not working…… dealing with the CAMC by phone is like dealing with public sector organisations, not an allegedly commercial customer service business. Hey ho, I will see how today goes…. Rowena - can you pass on to whoever will be phoning me today, I am driving this morning so will only be available this afternoon.

If you were called at 1728 and closing time is 1730 what does that say?? Especially as not even the courtesy of a message left.
