Locking Wheel Nuts Fiat Ducato

We've jut got a Roller Team motorhome on Fiat Ducato and are having a problem finding what size of Locking Wheel Nuts to get.  Does anyone know what size we need to get?

    Not all Ducatos have the same wheels. Sizes differ and they could be alloy or steel.

    You probably need to take your van, or a wheel stud, to someone who knows about these things.

    It’s not very common to fit locking wheel nuts to a MH because it’s not a simple job for a thief to jack it up and make off with a wheel. It’s not like dealing with a Ford Fiesta 😀

    I think I would be worried about the whole van being stolen rather than the wheels. I wouldn't have thought there was that much of a market for stolen van wheels.

    There’s also the fact, at least with ours, it is not left places where it is likely to happen. When not in use it is in secure storage and other times it is on a campsite or Aire with us sleeping in it overnight. OK there is the supermarket or National trust type car par for an hour or so, although in daylight I think the risks are fairly low. As mentioned our concern is more about the whole van, or internal contents.

    Spending your money on a good alarm system would be a much better protection for the whole van, users and contents.

    Husband feels we need to put on locking nuts as our motorhome is only a 6m van.

    It's still not a simple job to jack up a 6m van. Mine's only 5m and I’ve not got locking wheel nuts.

    It’s your choice, obviously, but if you decide to proceed you need to go to someone who can identify and supply the right nuts.

    I can't recall any posts on here (10 years now) about a MH (or caravan) having their wheels stolen. I've got locking wheel nuts on my car as they could easily be targeted to match another identical car with the same alloy wheels but as said not all models have the same wheels. 

    Still it's what gives you both piece of mind.

    With hydraulic auto-levelling fitted to our van we often have one or more wheels of the ground (last Cl it was three off the ground). We therefore had locking wheel nuts fitted and obtained them from www.PerformanceAlloys.com. Tried the Fiat ones first and they were useless with the locking key/socket slipping as soon as we tried to tighten up the nut to the correct torque setting.

    Possibly the spare wheel is a more likely target.  Most will be in a cradle under the van fairly easliy accessible.  I have a steel cable bike lock which locks through the wheel to the van as a precaution.  It's no good finding out when you have a flat that your spare's been pinched.
