Replacing gas bottles

Hi all, we have an auto change over valve and today it changed over for the first time, since fitting, but when I lifted the bottle which it had changed over to, it was obvious almost empty, I thought it was full. Could be my bad memory or faulty valve, however I needed to get a replacement cylinder asap. We’re on a CL site in north Derbyshire and I’d seen a garage with a Callie gas sign, but they’d run out and not had deliveries for ages. I messaged the site owner who was very helpful and after lots of phone calls etc I managed to get a bottle, from the Buxton club site. It was very difficult to find gas, google doesn’t seem to help, lucky the site owner was so helpful. Is there an easier way to find Callor gas, when your away from home and unfamiliar with local suppiers?

Calor website has a map of stockists, but you would ave to ring round to find someone with stocks as there is a shortage everywhere.

Thanks, I’ll look on there. It’s hard to find in unfamiliar territory. I take a look

Your a star, it’s dead easy, as you say, best to ring them, but at least you can see who’s nearby

The last Calorlite bottle I got was a result of  lot of phoning around. It came from my local club site.

Thanks for all the help. I’m back home now and have replaced the other bottle, from my usual suppier. I tested the change over valve and I found that, if I turned the in use bottle off, it did switch over, but the indicator, which is meant to change to red, hadn’t moved, very much, it still looked green, so that’s why I almost ran both bottles empty. However if I had just one bottle turned on and then turned it off, the indicator went to red, so it’s either faulty, or I’m doing something wrong
