Thetford toilet flush not flushing!

We have recently bought a second-hand Autosleeper Broadway.  The flush on the toilet worked to start with but now no flush is coming through even though the motor is working (can hear it whirring) and there is water in the filler tube.  However it doesn't seem to be going into the transparent tube which then feeds the toilet.  Any ideas?

sounds like you may have air trapped in the system, try draining the tank and refilling it

Hi WSD. If you look at the AS forum you’ll find lots of info on your subject and much else concerning AS vans.

Sounds like a good idea but how do I go about draining it?

Was it with the same user name as here? If so, something has gone wrong as no windsurfdude exists on there whether I use an upper or lower case W. Try again, perhaps?

On our Thetford model just above the hatch that you pull the cassette out of you will see a tube that is kept in place in a slot. Pull the tube out and pull out the plug at one end and it should empty. Have something ready to catch all the water. Then put the plug back and put the tube back.

If your's is the same model as mine it needs to be primed to start working again if it has run out. Same pump noise but no squirt.  Prime seems to happen if the header tank is filled to overflowing, and then pump starts being useful again.
