E&P Levelling system

David - I have to say that, despite the cost, it's the best thing I have bought for the caravan and I wouldn't be without it.  Indeed, if I were to buy another TA van (and I won't be!), it would be fitted from new.

As you know, I had a by-pass op done on my knee last year and I couldn't kneel down (or, I shouldn't!) and fitting the twin Alko locks using Lock 'n Level was becoming virtually impossible. Now - I just press a button - raise the nearside - sit on the caravan step - fit the locks - lower it and then re-level.  Takes 5 minutes max and is just so easy.

I went for the Compact system - saving about £1000 over the cost of the full system - so total cost was about £2k. Two reasons other than pure cost - firstly our van was already fitted with heavy duty corner steadies - so there was no need to go for the full system and have those replaced.  Secondly, it takes no time at all and is really simple to level fore and aft using an electric drill as a winder since you get an audible 'beep' from the system when you adjust the jockey wheel and the van is level.

The van is much more stable once the rams are deployed and doesn't move at all when you walk about inside - or the wind blows.  Plus - although it's not recognised as such by insurance companies - it does provide an extra level of security.

I can recommend having the extra large base plates fitted to the rams.  They do stop the rams sinking into soft ground over time.  They were free (through an offer with this Club) when my system was fitted but I think they're about £100 now.

I don't know how you're fixed for installers near you, but I used Specialist Automotive Products in Doncaster and was pleased with their work and after sales / support.
