Advice on habitation van security and sat nav

Hi  we hope to be  traveling  to France  this  year and  are  looking for  advice . We have  a  Benimar Primero 202  2019 and would like  to know  what  would  be  the  best  habitation security also thoughts on a  suitable SAT Nav, we  currently have  a  Garmin which  is 10 years  old .

    I have had the VanBitz Strikeback alarms on both my motorhomes. It does require a trip down to Taunton in Somerset to have it fitted, there is a handy campsite next door if you wanted to stay overnight.

    Download the Michelin App to your phone and use that. It works out typical mpg, motorway tolls and more. Plus it’s mapping is inevitably current.

    Regarding satnav, it’s not so much the age of device, more the age of the maps. I have a Garmin about ten years old but I’ve updated the maps last week. Very accurate on travel times as I believe it uses historical data when calculating journey times.
