Morocco
Hi Everyone, can anyone help me?
I intend to take my motorhome over to Morocco for a few days and am finding it hard to get even minimum legal requirement insurance for Morocco.
Does anyone know of a company that will either provide it as an "extra" (I assume a green card), or of a company that can provide simple temporary cover?
If it is relevant, the crossing will be Algeciras to Ceuta.
My thanks, Mike.

The internet is full of blogs by motorhomers who have gone to Morocco before you. Some say speak to Sterling Insurance here in UK to get a green card before you leave home , and others say go by ferry to Tangier rather than Ceuta because there you can buy local insurance on arrival at the port. Neither looked cheap. I suggest you trawl through all the blogs you can find.

When I went, I used the Camping & Caravan Club's Club care policy and travelled with an independant tour organiser who could help with breakdowns if necessary.. At the time the C&CC also ran tours to Morocco so maybe this was why cover was available. I suspect they still do it but you would have to check and you would have to be a member of that Club.

We took the caravan over at the end of 2018 on a combination of Saga for the car and caravan and Red Pennant for travel. Whether they still do it or not I don't know. I can also recommend the forum highlighted by peedee - have a look at their 'chat' forum as well.
