I don't know if it is me but I cannot get this web site to work tonight for some reason. Is this just my kindle being funny or has anyone else any problems trying to access sites on it?

I can get lists of sites on both my Samsung tablet and phone. However clicking on a site,I've tried various places, every time I get This page isn’t working www.searchforsites.co.uk is currently unable to handle this request

    Is this your experience?.

No if I touch on a site it goes to an information page with full details, reviews etc.

The new website is dreadful. Slow to react and often jumps about requiring repeated attempts to input information. Web developers should be sued.

I think you may have confused the Search For Sites website with CAMC's own. Try this thread -

Yes that's what is happening today, it was even loss co-operative last night. However on my phone the app seems to be working ok. Very strange!

The main Searchforsites seems to be back to normal now, and I see that there is an annual charge to use the app.

You can be a free member but to get all info and reviews etc then you need to pay , it's only a fiver!

£5:99 actually, but one can get all the info for free from the web site.

However, only if online. According to the blurb on the App Store, all the site info is available offline if you subscribe to the App.

Which is how the CAMC App should work, but doesn’t.☹️

Definitely worth the fiver, this is my go to for looking for sites both here and overseas.

But one still has to be on line when using the app to access the web site links to any site one chooses to view, surely.

As I look for sites when in the van or at home, and not when on the move, I find the web site sufficient for my searches. I would definitely subscribe if I had a M/H and was touring with frequent changes of locataion.

We use S4S all the time Nellie. I leave reviews as well, but haven’t paid any fee. We use it on the move, haven’t had any problems via phone tethered to iPad. Great resource, gives lots of different options.

I can understand why you use it, as it is especially good for overnight stops for M/Hs, but is it the app that you use or the full web site?

Nellie I have the app, use it all the time when we are away, you can select to be 'off line' and you still get to see everything.

The only caveat to that is go online every so often to allow it to sync and update.

The CL we have booked I would never have found it using the club search.

When we were in Spain it was just so easy as you can have it track where you are at any time, when we decided we liked the look of a place I just checked the app to see what was nearby and if the reviews were favourable we went to see it. Found some nice night halts like that.

We use the website Nellie. I have the App loaded, but don’t use it, prefer the website. I am not a huge fan of Apps.

We use it like TG, have a look at what’s not far away, read some reviews, then pick a stop.

Thanks both. I think I will stick with the web site for the time being, and maybe consider paying for the app should we ever end up getting a M/H!wink
