That campsite website says it doesn’t open until 17May 2023 so you may find that they haven’t got all their facilities open when you arrive. It will be very quiet at that time of year with hundreds of empty pitches - so don’t book, just go and look and see what you think . Check in for a few days then extend your stay of you wish or move on if you prefer.

We stayed there in 2018. Site is OK, pitches were large with nice grass (which is a change), but we had issues with ants getting into the van (lots and lots). Tried everything to get rid but failed. Moved pitches but the problem was still there so we left early.
Only site in nearly 20 yrs where we have had the problem, but perhaps we were unlucky

We stayed there in June 2017 to look at sites for a trip with our family in August the following year. As we would need to book we wanted to view, select and book two pitches close together.
The pitch we had was huge and the site was quiet but we chose Pin Parasol instead, we also visited Garangoire, with a big negative being that the path to the lake was unusable due to dog excrement.
It may have been coincidental, but there was a UK club rally in the adjacent field.
The five grandchildren loved it with the three youngest even, like their Mum did, repeatedly asking when we could go back if we dared to venture out.
Pin Parasol is the most expensive site we have ever used but, for what we wanted, was worth every penny.

As A&J say Pin Parasol is better for families, especially with the massive investment to the Sans and Nature section of the site.and with the added benefit of direct access to Lac du Jaunay..expensive, yes (July/August) but depends what you want....both La Guyonniere and Le Pin Parasol were used by the C&CC for rallies (June and September) upto Covid coming on the scene...C&CC have now got into bed with Allcamps for their overseas travel...so no more rallies.
PS.. At Le Pin Parasol .... A fully serviced pitch 16amp (4*), 150/180m sq with hedged border is around £19pn in May/June...a 3* is even less...

If you're a cyclist, take your bikes...the Vendee cycle way is long, safe, flat and scenic...🚴♂️

The prices are higher now with a 4 Flower/* app €25 but as said the 3* are more than adequate and we preferred the established part of the site, which is almost all 3*, to the new area.
As it was new the trees and hedges were sparse but the pool area was very nice and relatively quiet compared to the main pool area.
For us, the biggest single thing that raised it above the others we looked at was the cleanliness but we also loved the pitch size and the 5 grandchildren did, very occasionally when hungry, leave the fantastic pools area.
