It’s a kind of requiem to the past ways. The modern world isn’t ties & salutes that is the past. It’s basic business sense-there is no sense in breaking even or having a bit in the kitty. A company & its leading team need to show not only profit & a plan going forward they need to show plans for growth in their financial vision for the far future. The old days are just that. No company will be viable without a plan. I’m afraid pandering to folk that want something for nothing(generalising no one or demographic in mind) just don’t cut it.

Agree about it been arguable Steve.
From my view it's never been a 'club' as such, well maybe on site you get like minded people, the offers are very good and there is some technical and touring help but apart from that it's always been just a set of very good sites that I want to use. To use them I have to join the club.

As members are not forced to join the club and/or re-join in very large numbers this idea about starting to treat it's members more fairly is just a non starter in my view? How can it be true with so many members, very high numbers re-joining each year (including yourself here), and campsites full enough. Surely if members were being treated unfairly, or the club needs to start to treat its member more fairly, this wouldn't be happening?
Who knows a wild suggestion here but maybe, perhaps, members outside of CT are quite happy with the way things are with prices and how they are obtained?

The thing is that that even if it does, the dash for cash won't work unless people are prepared to pay up. It's not like a tax people have to pay.

Or even made a formal complaint or start paying by credit cards & get the bank to sort it. Complaining on a forum that has daily complaints of being ignored by CAMC is not going to solve problems-fact🤷🏻♂️

Maybe we can see and understand better than you imagine? How does only 20 outfits on site on a Tuesday before Christmas prove anything you say? What about the same site being over 95% full from Boxing day to January 1st? Doesn't that prove more? It does in my book.
I am always amazed at the amount of people you meet, campers and wardens, and how you always talk about club prices, it appears to happens on a daily basis.
As for this last owner - well what you've posted doesn't make sense to me? They clearly show they fully understand the prices for one and/or more people so how can they talk about 'hidden prices'.

Cogit, you have been more than patient. We had something similar with a refund from FIFA, all promises and little action. I would contact your Bank asap with all the details, a timeline of any correspondence, and let them deal with it. It won’t just be an Xmas shutdown for Banks, I suspect HQ will have little staff who can help dealing with things over Christmas.
It does need folks to highlight problems with refunds, as it’s the only way the Membership will know if there is an ongoing problem, but Members can’t help solve it. As soon as we got our Bank involved, FIFA got a kick up the backside, and things got sorted quickly. Good luck👍

As recently new to retirement and a new pensioner I'm neither poor or blinked having worked in the last few years with companies in major transformation projects. If CAMC doesn't keep pace with its competitors and offer quality products, new products and increase its market share in terms of membership and income it will be going backwards. Remember Woolworths who thought that online shopping would never take off and what happened to them. I think you would find it hard to name a hand full of clubs or companies that haven't changed in the past 22 years.

Corners, I think JV is referring to those site users who collar you at the service point, bore the pants off you and won’t let you get away. The sort who folk tell any old stories to in order to get rid of them. We've all met them🙄

Are you giving me advice on how to start a conversation? I've never met this type of person staying on a club site.
Anyway you keep changing the subject of your 'conversations' that you appear to have so very often, on page 4 and before in this thread you were talking about price rises and your dash for cash idea, now it's the new booking system? Oh well moving on
