Overseas Booking System

Thanks for the heads up AD but it seems that where the Club has allocations there are two occupancy displays, one for the site and one for the Club's allocation. I checked this out searching Spain and Portugal and checking out Alannia Costa Blanca and Touriscampo respectively.

My impression a few years ago in mid summer at Domaine Massereau in southern France was that the site owner had allocated a number of his less desirable pitches to this Club, but had retained pitches which were roomier and better located to sell directly, We had to pay him more for one of those than the Club would have charged us for one in their limited allocation - but they were all already booked.

I hasten to add I only looked out of curiosity and wont be using the service.
Ditto, I just buy a cross channel ticket with Tesco vouchers and go with the flow. The only time I have booked is with the C&CC winter sun holidays which they are no longer promoting.

Very interesting post AD, and a useful insight into Club Land Overseas. Thank you.

There are posts on other forums from overanxious UK folk who can’t book French sites nine months ahead.. And the answer is that most French sites have closed now at the end of their season and the owners may well have gone on holiday.
By December they will get round to fixing their prices for next year, giving some dates to the ACSI company so that they can get their lists and books published byChristmas, ,and then the sites themselves will start to take bookings in the New Year. They well charge a non returnable administration fee - frais de dossier- as well as the normal site charges.
That’s the French way. Other countries may differ.
