Snagging list for new booking system

Further to my post
Click on Find a UK campsite > define a location > click on search > click on Show certicated Locations > if necessary zoom in or out or click and hold to move the map about to refine the location > click on a site on the map to reveal the name or select from the list alongside > click on the name for more information. If this is the site you want then this is where there should be a link to existing directions and reviews.

I have mentioned before on CT, before going live with the new booking system, or any upgrades to the IT system , would it not be a good idea to invite a handful of members to Head Office, sit them down with their laptops/iPads and let them use the system before I goes live hence able to iron out the bugs and also give the IT department some essential feedback.

Bear in mind that it's only a new booking system that's been introduced not a new website so the two run together but are not well linked. The major drawback for me is that the booking system doesn't link into the website details so if you find a site on the booking system you can't see all the details except by clicking on PDF links therefore you can't browse and see reviews as there are no links to them.
I presume this is what CAMC defines as a partial booking experience, they have stated the booking experience is "not complete."
I find the late availability search tortuous, it was so easy previously now it involves putting in dates, using maps etc Previously late availability involved one click and a list of sites with vacancies high to low etc over a prescribed period of time, all there, all visible!
Are CAMC looking in, I hope so!?
Peedee where did your report link come from, I might have missed this as I haven't seen it anywhere on my searches and I'm only just looking in today.
Thanks Wedgy for starting this thread where all the reports are visible. By using the CAMC link none of us can see what others are reporting and this doesn't show us if there are repeat reports etc.

Brue, it was posted in another thread by TTDA I think, I bookmarked it for use.

I agree but it is worth noting as pointed out by Steve, there a link to reviews. Click on the star rating under the name of the Club site or CL and it takes you to a blank page not yet populated. I am guessing that in time this will be polulated and a link to directions added.

I note some are aready being populated, check out:
Find a UK campsite > New Forest > Show certificated site > Martins Farm
It looks like this occurs when the stars go red.

P.S. They are being populated thick and fast right now as I look

Do that, but I doubt that they will take the slightest bit of notice. Ostriches both, along with many others at EG.

Edit my last post- tried on different device (android smartphone as opposed android tablet) and it worked.
BUT - when changing to a cheaper pitch type for same dates (so more than adequate deposit already paid) whilst total price reduced accordingly, it still wanted a deposit. Entering zero caused an error so I entered £1 and gave my card details again, then it worked. With £1 less to pay as balance. But it should recognise no deposit required in such circumstances.
And why does my tablet not show my bookings whilst phone does? Both using chrome browser (not the app).

If you go to the site page, about half way down there is a series of links across the page, Prices(which doesn't seem to work!), Nearby, Map and Reviews. Click on the map and it will bring up the "old" site directions.

Sorry my first choice on viewing anything on the Club website is a Windows PC/Laptop. Although I have both an Android phone and tablet I rarely use them for that purpose. Might have a look on the tablet later on.

Sorry wedgy this isn't what I imagine a snagging list should be, it should be a list of actual faults just that, everything else confuses the issues, I think it would be difficult for someone to read the thread and decipher the faults I think they would loose intrest

Just had a look on my Samsung Tablet in portrait view. Same principle as a Windows machine. Search for the site you want then scroll all the way to almost the bottom of the screen and the things that are listed across the page in Windows are listed one after the other. Just click on map and the instructions and location map will appear on screen.

It might be a case of separating the wheat from the chaff? I think initially some of the problems were about people not understanding the system so whilst genuine concerns were raised they may not have been "real" problems. People will of course also have an opinion on whether the system works for them. I suspect the system is now working reasonably OK and there are probably only a handful of things need attention. The requirement for the DOB being one and people wanting the old drop down site menu rather than what has been incorporated in the new system. I am sure there are others particularly revolving around the App.

I think much of the problem, is that we can’t see a lot of them. Many of us on CT are fairly confident around computers and are quite able to dive in to sort things out. Unfortunately there are a lot of folk who are not. I know when I was at work and a new system was brought in, many, even those a lot younger than me really struggled. In the work place environment there was of course training and people like myself to give anyone in difficulty a hand. In the case of the new system, it has just been thrown out there, with relatively little prior interaction with members. For many the first they new about it might have been when they logged on and found the system changed. Yes I can certainly understand why members are moaning.
