Just received an email suggesting ibook a caravan maneuvering course with the "club" if i cant make successful bookings i won't need any maneuvering skills !! Still no response regarding my 2 X £365 duplicate deposits or why I got 21 emails for one cancelled booking.
I wonder if they dhoul try "turning it off and then on again "😄

So just tried booking a site and when I got to the end it said that once I had confirmed my booking I then had to ring the club to book my dogs on!!! Why??? We have never done this before and they are supposed to be so welcoming to all dogs. I abandoned the booking.

Just tried using the site , every time I changed page I was put back in a queue . This queueing system might work for booking concert tickets but its a total disaster for perusing caravan sites . Who has come up with this system , some one on work experience.

If you touch on view booking a panel opens up on the Right hand side, which has all the booking details inc site name.
The App won’t remember me though, like the old one, I have to log in each visit.☹️
Good news is there is no queue to view them at the moment.0 -
I fully understand your sentiments. I only reloaded it to get my membership card details up. It’s all I use the App for to be honest.

The Club always send me an email entitled "Hurray - your pitch awaits!" and you can follow the links to the site directions. Do you not receive these emails?

Looking for a CL in Northants it would help massively if the new location maps had road numbers.

Went on to check for trips for this year and discovered new booking system. Another useless idea from the club. No prices and can’t see if there are spaces available for my dates. Redirected to booking system which is totally useless. Will stick to caravan and camping or private sites.

I am at last back on my trusty desktop with a decent connection and having a more serious look at the recent changes. Gawd, its awful. I haven't tried booking anything, I don't need to but looking at the CL information the Club has made a right pigs ear of it. There is no information on pitch type or whether it has EHU or not. I cannot seem to hide Club sites and just search for CLs either? Where are the directions and reviews?
I also cannot log onto the new App so no idea if that is any better or worse either.
It a shocking reflection on an organistion as large as the Club that they could not get this right before its release.
Frankly I cannot be bothered to report on it further and if it remains a useless as it iappears there is little point in remaining a member.

Is the fuss over now?
I just now (9 pm) logged in and loaded the new app on my trusty I pad - instantaneous.
Then thought I would try a dummy booking for a week in 2023. It said I was in a queue - but the queue only lasted two or three seconds - no more The booking was easy and straight forward - it asked which Club site I wanted, but didn’t ask for date of birth or mothers maiden name - just type of vehicle and sizes . Then simply offered me prices for different grades of pitch for each separate day in the week in question - gave me a total and invited me to pay..
If I really had wanted that Club site the booking it couldn’t be easier for me. The whole procedure took less than a minute.
And if Iwanted aCL I would just look in the handbookPerhaps everything is easier with an app on an I pad than some other sorts of kit

We receive the ‘Hooray your pitch awaits!’ emails. Also the ‘do not arrive before 1pm as we are getting your pitch ready for you’ - sounds like turning down sheets with a chocolate on the pillow. 😂🤣. I will question the last one as on this site when customers have left nobody has been to ‘get the pitch ready’ for the new arrival.

It’s not that easy EuroT. For a start you need to know what the Club Sites are called otherwise you get a full run down of Europe! It doesn’t recognise Counties such as Yorkshire, but operates via the Clubs own geographical names. And so on…… And it lost my queue place twice for no apparent reason.
Have a go at finding a CL on the booking system. My main filter criteria is location, then price. It failed miserably, and is so slow I gave up. The CLs it did come up with had no mention of the price. I put in North Wales……and got Haverfordwest. It’s total pants as far as helping find a CL. I shall be doing it via the long winded Country, County, Town method. Either that or SearchforSites. At this rate my little black book will be resurrected, it’s not as long winded I know that.😡

That's how it worked for me lateish last night....I could have booked easily, but didnt .
im wondering if there are other problems down the line from pressing 'book' like the double taking of some fees...not somewhere I will be investigating as I've no need to.
I might have a play with the CL section as this is more where I might use the site.
I used the new app on a newish iPad.

That’ll be a new range in the Club Shop….a Club based World Atlas. I put in Anglesey and got some pub on Anglesey Road in London! Very useful🤨

Pass on any tips please YT. I too am on a newish up to date IPad. I couldn’t see any prices for CLs via book now.

TDA, I used the 'show CL' button and all the CLS came up on the map with little price tags against each one. Zoom in or out to show more or less sites.
again, I didn't book...because you can't...and no price details, but I found the website more clunky and slower to respond than trying the same search on the new app which was fine...swap from one cL to another to check exact location etc
also, every cL says it's open to members and non members.

Thanks YT.🙂It sounds like a poor man’s version of the SearchforSites App. The map was all over the place and very slow to load. I did try and narrow down via the filters. I will have another go tomorrow, see if I can get prices up.

No 'green' my profile on my app & I've uninstalled & re-installed twice
And I still get the same queue joining nonsense.....

Well partial success with App, I can now get on it without queuing, however the worrying thing is that when I sign out it still shows my Upcoming bookings, Payment is due & several previous bookings..... just doesn't show my membership info.....
When I log back in it switches between App mode & desktop mode all very confusing
Further edit: logging back in on laptop, from the homepage, my UK bookings it still takes me to 'where would you like to book', if I then click on my profile it still takes me back to the same page.....
No queuing though.....

Apologies for the above post, I had expected to find the information all under "Book a campsite" that is evidently not the case. It is all under Find a UK Campsite| > Certificated Locations.
I still cannot log into the new App using an Android tablet.

The prices are only shown for club sites, the CL have the word VIEW at their map location.
No prices for CLs, presumably as the club has no control over the changing of these dynamically.

Well, straight onto the website this morning via a browser on Android tablet. Thought I'd peruse a few CLs but where are the prices, where are the directions, where are the coordinates, and how about the reviews?
Directions are important because so many CLs warn against making a particular approach. Coordinates are important for seeing the exact location on a map and checking the surrounding area. I always look for good dog walking direct from site but others, of course, will have different priorities.
