Humber Bridge help
Looking at doing a cycle ride across the Humber Bridge, South Bank to North Bank and return. Can anyone confirm that we can get onto the Bridge just North of Barton upon Humber, up what appears to be a shared cycle/pedestrian ramp? We will be coming in from shoreline cycle path (Viking Way), East of Barton, and then swing South just before Bridge rather than carrying straight on and under. Google Earth appears to show this is possible, but if anyone local to Bridge could confirm, it would be useful. Thanks.

Many thanks for this👍 Yes, the bridge was closed briefly last year, but is now open to foot and cycle users. It does sound as though we have found our entry point up onto the bridge via the South ramp then, so this gives us a lovely ride along the South shore from our CL, up onto and over the bridge, and then we can head either East or West into Hull, picking up the Trans Pennine Trail possibly.
Metheven, I thought that Far Ings Road was the key, we have parked at Far Ings Nature Reserve many a time and enjoyed a walk from there, but have only been over bridge in a car, so of course that involves the roundabout West of Barton.
Hope it’s not a windy day for our ride, should get some great views. Thanks to all for your help.
