Looking for a convenient night stop near to or north of Montelimar please. Two usual stopping campsites now closed.

We went about 12 miles east of Montelimar to get away from the endless traffic in the Rhône valley so perhaps too far off route if you want a single overnight stop. But if you have a few days you might like Camping Municipal Lorette, between Le Poet Laval and Dieulefit . It’s a big open meadow with lots of space and a stream on the bottom edge, toilets, showers  and swimming pool are immaculate and the price will be about £15 sterling at this time of year.

Camping La Poche at Mirmande is an ACSI site with good reviews. 7km from the A7.

Any one visited these "4 Saisons" at Grane, "La Garenne" Voulte sur Rhone or "Les Truffieres" at Grignon please?

BTW for anyone who uses "L'Albanou" which was  good for the motorway near Privas, it has become residential. Also the Municipal at St Vallier will no longer accept larger units. Both a big loss to us as regular overnight stops. Hence the search for alternatives! cry

Google is showing me over 200 reviews for the Grignan site - surely enough to reassure you.

Stayed at La Poche, thank you for the suggestion! A little challenging to access with a big unit, approach roads and on site. A pretty location and an attractive restaurant, swimming pool area. Very much sort yourself out on arrival, no reception open at entrance. Wouldn't count it out for future visits but still looking for the ideal stopover in the area.
