I can quite understand new CLs "advertising" their Easter availability, but do think it is a bit late in the day, tomorrow being Good Friday. However it would be good to know what availability they have for the next two bank holiday periods, as it would then give those looking for sites on those dates a chance to get organised and booked.

Maddie, I do realise that this post is meant for CL owners but I do think my point is pertinent.

    Hi Nellie,

Thank you for your comment, I appreciate it would be helpful for members to see availability for upcoming bank holidays in advance.

Most CL Owners will experience their sites being fully booked for bank holidays well in advance. We do let CL owners know about this thread and it is possible that those sites have had a very last minute cancellation and are trying to fill the pitch.

It's always useful for us to have member feedback and I will pass this on.

I hope you had a great bank holiday.

    Maddie

May I suggest you add the name of your CL and a link to the club's Web page as this will help people understand what your site offers? It will also help publicise your site to members.

Oakfield Farm Cl in Shropshire just outside Much Wenlock. Alison and I are life long caravaners and have just commissioned our own CL site. We have tried to build in all of the things we like and miss out the things we don't. Each pitch with hard standing has its own EHU and grey water drain and fresh water.

We are just off the B4378 half between Bourton and Brockton. The location is beautiful and the views from this area are outstanding.

Come and take them in for yourself and sit by one of our fire pits and watch the sun go down.

Pets are welcome , there is a fully enclosed field to walk the dogs in or you can walk along any number of bridle ways from the CL site up onto Wenlock Edge.

We look forward to welcoming you soon.

The pictures of the site have not been uploaded yet

Please call Alison on 07704027315 or email bent_alsion @yahoo.co.uk

Sounds very nice, and fully serviced pitches are good. But just an observation: is the email address correct? I ask because it looks like 2 letters in the name appear to be transposed: alsion, presumably should read alison?

I'm always intrigued when a "Content removed" has had numerous "likes". It makes me wonder if the "official" position is at odds with the general consensus. I'm obviously suffering from FOMO. wink

CG how many owners now use the booking system? I mention it to an owner last week who was aware of it but thought that for his site, which is not in a tourist area, it was not worth the cost. This led onto a discussion on the site price per night (I thought the price too cheap) Cost of the booking system can always be reflected in the price per night and I would be happy to see this for the convenience and spontaneity the system offers.

It has just taken three days and two emails to make a booking on another certificated site (not C&MC)..

Hi everyone, We have removed a few posts on this discussion as they are promoting and linking to an independent booking service which is not linked or verified by the Club. We do state in our Community Guidelines not to post anything that could be interpreted as self-publicity. We also need to consider our entire CL network which is not represented. We are aware that it would benefit members to have a booking system for CLs and this is something we will be looking at in the future, which will be inclusive of all our CLs and not put some sites at a disadvantage. We hope this helps clear up any confusion and a polite reminder that this discussion is for CL Owners to be posting about their own availability with dates on this discussion. Many thanks.
