Holland trip
Hi all. Many thanks for previous advice on this site. Please can anyone provide an update on Gaasper Camping Amsterdam. Some reviews I’ve read have been a bit hit and miss but that’s probably the case with most reviews anyway! Also, we are looking for a site in the Hoge Veluwe area for a few nights soon. Thanks everyone

It’s a while since we stayed at Gaasper camping so I can’t give you an update, but if I were going again I would put more faith in the reviews on ACSI and UKCS for all the sites at Amsterdam rather than reviews on Trip Advisor.
For a visit to Floriade at Almere you can take a train from Amsterdam Centraal station, though when I replied to your earlier enquiry back in January I suggested two mini camping camping sites closer to Almere. .We liked the one at Lelystad which I mentioned then.
For Hoge Veluwe there are also attractive looking mini campings listed, although if you want a very big site with a water park and waterslides you could look at Camping de Pampel at Otterlo. We stayed there once but I doubt if we would choose it again. It all depends on your preferences for size and style of campsite.
Regards.

Hi c&c, We have camped a few times at Landal Coldenhove in Eerbeek. its a very nice site and whilst large the layout is small areas of a few pitches in a very natural setting.
There is a pool which we often used when with children/grandchildren and bar/ restaurant which we didn't.
If that too big have a look at Camping Robertsoord which has some accommodation as well as pitches but is much smaller.

I stayed on a campsite out at Spaarnwoude but, as it was thirty years ago, any comment from me would be decidedly dated. I do remember that the car had to be parked away from the van.

We heard that Beek en Hei near Otterloo is good from somebody who had stayed there a few years ago so have booked that site, as it's a public holiday when we will be in the area, for Hoge Veluewe visit.
It's in ACSI for outside of high season.
I personally don't mind the car being away from the caravan if everybody else doing it. It's often the case in NL anyway. When in Rome etc....
