Well I would say personally that it has and they have fully complied with their T&Cs and given anyone enough information to decide what to do.
I have received the email so it has informed me about price rise (at worst £2.70) and while I can't speak for anyone else it would appear that it has for a number of others?
They haven't given me the option to cancel (option b) agreed but under existing rules I consider that unnecessary as I can now cancel now if I wish (I personally won't) and it would currently still be more than the 'three days'.
And even then they could be following option c:
c) where the revised indicative price is higher or less than the price stated at the time of booking we may leave your booking unchanged.
I assume this option leaves it up to you to decide what to do?
So yes I do think the club has followed its T&C. Others may disagree and may want to wait to see which sites and prices are affected and that's their choice,
Also notice the T&C's state In such circumstances, the following may apply:
I concede that statement appears far too loose and option c may appear to be a 'get out of jail card' and doesn't require the club to do anything about offering the option to cancel when they raise prices but they are both there and anyone booking has agreed to be bound by them.
A numbers of posts appear to have made their minds up one way or the other.

In my humble opinion "discussing or arguing (take your pick) about an insignificant price rise in these current days seems rather trivial.
We're talking about a spend on leisure when some people out there are trying to decide on whether to heat or eat.
Either you can accept it and move on or cancel your booking and look elsewhere.

I think the only reason I joined in with this thread earlier on was to comment that I hadn't received any information via e mail. Others mentioned the same. I posted elsewhere that the communication preferences weren't working and eventually received an e mail. I agree it's a minor event but CAMC could improve communications for all of us by using the web site to inform and update.

Yes, fully agree. It is a simple choice, and I consider myself very lucky not be be bothered by it, I always have.
Been 'working' recently and it often saddens me that in this day and age on the differences between the 'haves' (dropped off by new expensive cars) and the have-nots (shoes literally falling to pieces) and all the ones in-between.

Fully agree there as I posted elsewhere on the pitching thread I recall, the most annoying think is that we on this forum and web site always find out either last or by second hand.

I'm specifically talking here about monetary matters and I'm not particularly thinking of any one person just a general feeling of triviality about a possible £0.70 increase per day in ones leisure spend when thousands of pounds are spent on the C'vans/Mhomes delivering us the leisure.
Is it worth 30 pages of comments?
Not personally asking for anything apart from a bit of perspective from people.
Carry on for another 30 pages if you feel the need.

I cannot believe what the club is doing to members. We started the year with another huge increase in club fees and then we are hit with this news.
If the club are not into fixed deals with electricity then someone should lose their job.
Also we are coming into the SUMMER and electric usage will be much smaller. to charge an extra £17.50 a week ON top of the existing electric charges built into the pitch prices is taking us for idiots.
On top of all this pleading poverty by the club they will be spending OUR money on buying thousands of trees making our sites more dark and dirty, losing the sunshine which most of us want and if my last two years experience of trees on club site is anything to go by more dangerous. The first night with my new caravan at Morton ended up with the caravan in a terrible mess due to the winds and lots of small branches all over the roof. I was very lucky no bad damage was done. Last year at Hunters moon another once nice site but now covered in trees a huge branch smashed someones car and caravan up putting lots of pitches out of action because of the danger.
The club does not appear to know trees need to be inspected and pruned for safety, and that costs a lot of money. Its time to stop this nonsense.
I am so annoyed by these increase in costs that I am cancelling all my bookings on club sites this year. I am going to think very carefully if I want to continue my membership as well.

Dutch members for already a long time. The last decade we only have seen the campingprices rise and rise. A 5er a 17er as for a good example. We understand that cost are increasing jearly but a bit too fast oflate. We paid our annual contribution during the passend covidyears and bought vouchers but were not able to stay because of covid -enteringrules of the UK. Use of the vat-advantages were also only up to 31-3-2022 so hardly advantages for us as foreignmember. And now suddenly rising costs again. Our budget is getting lower and lower to stay hare. We use our electricity often via the solarpanels we have. We are only staying a little part of the year. No special member price for foreigners ( some other clubs do) even when we are aged 73 .
Is there not anything you can do for us making it still attractive to be clubmembers? ( we also have very expensive boatcrossings to pay to get here)
We hope to hear or see a reaction.

I didn’t know the Club were planning to buy lots of trees, but if so, in principle I think that’s a good idea. Properly planted and maintained trees enhance a site and provide obvious environmental benefits. If the trees were there first, I’m not very sympathetic to those who’d have them removed because they made their caravan roof messy - move the caravan!
As for electricity, commercial contracts are quite different to domestic situations. You need to understand what arrangements previously applied before making judgements. What seemed a great idea a few months ago might seem very different now. Not saying you’re wrong, but it’s not straightforward.
We’ve done this debate to death, but it’s fairly obvious to me from observations on site that some members waste huge amounts of energy and ignore the potential of solar. It’s a wake up call for all of us.

I am not sure how helpful those suggestions are and I am pretty sure they will make a negligible difference to consumption on site? Even with solar panels I am not going to be able to reduce my onsite electrical consumption. All it does is change my leisure and cab batteries which I suppose might save a very small amount of power. Now someone with solar panels and lithium batteries with inverters and a refillable gas system might not need electricity at all but where is the incentive to use those systems rather than the site supplies? There is no offer of a reduced fee if not using electricity. I am pretty sure this is a knee jerk reaction rather than a long term thought out policy?David

I agree with you Bill. Lots of our sites are having trees planted to celebrate the Queens Jubilee, why not?
Still on the subject of trees, every club site has an extensive (and expensive) tree survey conducted annually by a professional third party company and findings are graded in their severity. Action is taken within days of said survey. Extremes of weather cannot be predicted nor can a survey tell if a tree limb will break in those extremes.
During storm eunuch we lost 3 large trees that were only 2 months previous surveyed as fit and healthy.
Quite a few of our regions the fixed price for electric is coming to an end, common sense says you're not going to get that same deal anymore. We can all debate/ discuss rises but it is what it is. We have indeed done this debate to death.

I'm not a great lover of dense tree canopy, primarily as it doesn't help my solar panels. There does seem a preponderance of fairly dense tree cover on the majority of club sites when most of us would prefer a bit of the rare UK sunshine. Being kitted out with lithiums, inverter and refillable gas, I'm certainly disinclined to pay an arm and two legs for site electricity.

Interesting that there was a post about a club site having no trees and how abroad there are plenty of trees making sites look nicer. Proves you can't make all of the campers happy all of the time.

I’ve decried a lack of trees in the past C, I’m a tree lover yet I remember very few of maturity & number on sites, add to that everyone before me had ‘bagged’ the shady spots. Geez please give us more trees as I’m not a fan of the much mentioned Tesco car park design😢. Sharing nature is a super positive👍🏻

Yes I'm a half way person myself but there are club sites (other products available) to suit all tastes, I was just making the point that what pleases one camper doesn't please another.

It’s a great site, but can’t help thinking it’s an accident e.g. ‘let’s make this an eco pitch because much of the ground isn’t level and it’s a long hike to the loo’ (JK might know the origins?). Very different to the acres of gravel and rows of caravans umbilically connected to electric, water & drainage in the main area where folks get up to all sorts of shenanigans to secure.
I’d like to see a more deliberate strategy to create eco pitches on all sites, if necessary in place of fully serviced pitches which don’t encourage responsible use of resources.
