Not necessarily🙂. These days the magazine holds very little of interest and is full of inaccuracies and self evident 'facts'. It didn’t take long to convey that.

I would say you need to spend more time sorting the web site and CT first before messing about with the magazine

At least the survey website was quick!!! I wonder why the Club think that M&S vouchers are more attractive than say some site night vouchers, or perhaps a choice?

I suppose it could be. It could depend where the Club asks the question? If they only ask on digital channels then the likelihood is that many will say they prefer the non-printed version so the result could be skewed? I imagine there is quite a body of members out there that don't spend their time online who might prefer things to stay as they are but if they are excluded how will we know? I much prefer a paper magazine as I can read it with my breakfast or lunch. My suggestion was that the layout could do with an overhaul as I find the layout very cluttered.

I commented on the pale print and jumbled lay out. I like reading paper magazines, the magazine is already digital but the paper opt out will suit some and maybe save costs?

Likewise David I prefer to grab the magazine rather than reading it on line, I was also surprised to find that you now have to apply to have any time served  membership stickers !

It does depend on what device you use, but I manage to read my electronic copy of the telegraph every breakfast on my pad. I’ve a little stand, bought from ikea, that holds it just right. Plus the added advantage is you can have the text what size you like.

Why at the end of the survey do you ask for my membership number?  Once I have provided my name and email address, you already know the answer!  frown

I’d have thought it’s probably to verify your membership as you might have quoted a different email address and might be a family member with a different surname from the lead member.

Didn’t take me long to complete survey either. We seldom read it. Haven’t had a paper copy for years. It’s so full of glaring bloopers at times that’s become the only entertainment if we can be bothered. We aren’t lured by other so called experts suggesting what we might like to buy, or where we might like to go, or what we might like to do when we get there. The Club puts no value on it, as opting out and having a small discount as some suggest isn’t an option.

The trouble with magazines in general, especially those that you either subscribe to or are house magazines, like the Club magazine is that it is difficult to remain fresh and new. It is not always the fault of those producing the magazine but just that there is often only so much you can say about a subject. The longer you are a member the less interesting you can find such magazines. In the past it would have been the main conduit for news but now with the internet and social media anything in printed media seems like old news? Perhaps they should think about going quarterly?

Agree. If I subscribe to a specialist magazine, I usually last a couple of years. After that it starts to get repetitive.

I do personally think the Club magazine would be better as a Members mag, rather than a conduit for the dealers and franchises. A lot more input from Members would give it more of interest, but it would need to be financially self supporting, so it isn’t easy. Too many member mags fold through lack of having enough people to oversee it, and contribute towards it.

I like the paper version purely for the update they give on new, closed and updated CLs, and their odd recommendation. This information isn't given in full anywhere else, and where new CLs are mentioned by Maddie on here it isn't until well after the magazine's update.. The odd snippets of news about club sites, rallies etc I can do without
