Spanish Health Travel Form
I'm sailing in March, but thought I'd make a start of the Spanish Health Travel form, the maritime one for ferry transport.
I'm using my phone, and using the website, not the App, as I've heard it has glitches.
After name, date of travel it asks for email address. I keep getting a message saying ' invalid email address'.
Any ideas? Thankfully I've got a few weeks!

Sorry to hijack the thread, but if driving via France, does one have to complete this?

I am trying to create the Spanish Health Control Form , I have done the first stage and got an access code from the Spanish authorities but when I try to access the form to enter more details of the trip etc, all I get is a drop-down message saying I cannot complete the form until 48 hours before arrival. I haven't even started the form at this point. Is anyone else having problems?

I've had that issue with HMRC website too.

I ve just started the family/group FCS form. I was able to input the ferry arrival and my passport details and then it sent me the form identifier number and code. At no time has it requested the details of any other members (my husband) on the form- so when do I do this? I know everyone has to have their own form and code - so why does it have a family application if you can only input your own details?
This trip planning is becoming so stressful !!

I was on the 2 night crossing last week. I had started the form a few weeks ago but you can only fill in basic information and get an email link to complete the bulk of the form later with your Health details.
To make it easier get the basic info ready in advance: passport number, name of boat, cabin number, location in Spain.
Since the boat gets in at 8 am Spanish time you can get access to the form at 7am UK time ie 48 hours prior to landing. I did it on the computer as I've read the App is unreliable. Most of the questions are straightforward. The only "tricky" bit is the NHS Vacc certificate. There were only 2 options: EU Pass or "Other". I selected "other" and it was just a case of putting in the details of the vaccination, date, Booster manually. The QR code came instantly once completed. I printed it out, but you can show the QR Code on your device.
It also asks for your location in Spain. Put in the address, ie postcode, town and province of your campsite or they will accept the details of the Port, ie Santander.
There are several videos on YouTube. I found this one useful. Spain Health Form

Fantastic Geejay and very helpful, thank you. I actually phoned the Spanish helpline this morning (Tel: 0034910503050 from a landline) to ask whether it made a difference if I had completed the family application instead of the individual and was reassured it would be ok so long as my personal info was correct.
Apparently, I was told that the Spanish computer system is operative after midnight on the 2 days before arrival in Spain, so we should be ok to complete at home before setting off. I had looked at several videos on You Tube to see what the questions were but your info was also very useful.
Of course it is possible that Spain may drop the Health form as Greece has just done- wouldn't that be nice?
What a great forum this is !!

Not really, it would appear you only have to fill in the online Health Control Form if you are going by ferry or flying in, it would appear you have to fill in a French equivalent if arriving by ferry at a French, but this is only a document you can fill in the blanks and print out.
Have travelled many times via France into Spain and never been stopped at the border, so i guess if you have proof on your person that you are fully jabbed all should be ok, unless anyone can advise otherwise
France are going to relax covid restrictions any time soon, my guess is Spain will soon follow

Drove into Spain from France on Friday, Absolutely no checks anywhere. Masks everywhere indoors & all comply. It's a bit hard getting used to it again! Sworn statement scanned & uploaded to Eurotunnel along with vaccine pass, which was checked before boarding, but no interest in sworn statement

Has anyone else had a message from Brittany Ferries late this afternoon to say that from today, it is no longer a requirement to complete the Spanish health form if an official digital NHS covid vaccination is presented at the port ? Not sure if this is a fact or a SCAM ?
I double checked the BF site and can't see that their advice has been changed.

Haven't had an email from BF but did get notification from our timeshare in Lanzarote that the SpTH is no longer required.
This is what they said
·
⭐️BREAKING NEWS⭐️
Visitors no longer need to complete the health locator form when traveling to Spain or the Canary Islands if they have an EU vaccination certificate or an EU Equivalent vaccination certificate.
This means if you are coming from the EU or a country that issues an equivalent certificate (this includes the UK) you no longer have to fill in a SpTH form, but the entry rules stay the same .
Anyone who is fully vaccinated (and boostered if 2nd vaccine is over 270 days) with an NHS Covid pass
OR: NHS recovery pass
OR: anyone under 12 years of age
does NOT need to complete an SPTH form
HOWEVER some airlines are still stipulating these are mandatory so please check with your airline first until they catch up with the new rulesPlease go to the official website for more information www.spth.gob.es
Hope this helps

Was this today please? Mine was a message from BritFerries and it seemed authentic. The end of the message included a link to https://spth.gob.es .
Just worried in case its not legitimate and I don't arrive with the correct paperwork.

The Spanish website appears to now state that either the UK Covid pass or the Passenger Locator form can be used to get into Spain. I tested the website and it accepted the UK NHS QR code as a valid document for entry. The Spanish guidance for travellers is currently being re-written according to the website. Hopefully it means the form is no longer required.

To confirm that last post the BrittanyFerries website is now saying that those who have correct and valid proofs of vaccination no longer need complete the Spanish Health Control form before sailing by ferry from UK to Spain.
