Managerial Merrygoround
And so it goes on, the latest being Chris Wilder, sacked seven months ago by Sheffield Wednesday has just replaced Neil Warnock at Middlesbrough. It's a closed shop where once a guy has failed at one club there's another waiting on the wings to sign him on! How are the new young blood going to get a chance?

Don't look my way, Nellie, old Friend too busy keeping them agent bods away from David Artell at Crewe's Porridge Pitch !!
Up Down and Shake it all about -- one day those Muppets will realise there are only so many trophies / promotions a year for clubs to achieve and the rest of us have to do our very best with limited resources !
Now Brian's off to bed to dream of consecutive promotions and a good run in a couple of cups firstly to give the Fans a boost, then bring a few quid into Clubs coffers, so good night !!

Warnock was down to go at end of season Nellie, and Wilder expressed interest. He was being hunted by another Club, so Boro owner did the deal. He’s worked his way through ranks, we saw him play for Sheffield Wednesday not that long ago. Not a bad signing for us, but it’s hard for those wanting to get a foot on managerial rung. Unless you are Steven Gerrard. 😂

Rovers have got a manager some fans would be more than happy to be rid of. Many of us have pledged to stay away while he's in charge!
PS - I think it was the other Sheffield lot that got rid of Chris Wilder wasn't it? He was always going to be in demand given his record with The Blades, not to mention Northampton and Oxford before that. A good bloke with a number of promotions to his name. Should be a good fit at Middlesborough.

I’m losing count of the number of times this season that Town have faced or are about to face a team who have just changed manager and therefore get the” new manager bounce” with unfortunately predictable result.
Middlesbrough come to the JSS a week on Saturday, just time for Mr Wilder to get them playing better GRR0 -
🤞😁

And Gol has left the Swamp.
Something very wrong there, he seemed to have built a really good squad, but it just hasn’t worked out this season for whatever reason. 🤔.
Good luck, Gol, always seems to be a genuine nice bloke.
Any guesses who will be the next manager at the Swamp, on the managerial merrygoround……..🤔🤔🤔0 -
Norwich are a really good Championship team but not much cop in the top flight so I didn’t see the point in sacking DF just as he won his first Premier game just to bring someone in who had been sack by a rival club. The cost to clubs for this merry go round must be phenomenal

Will O G S ever want another managerial post? I think after this debacle that he will just retire quietly back to Norway, as he can't be short of a penny or four.

Why would he want to work again if that is correct?

If he has truly done that then hats off to him, and perhaps he might just want another football related post for a while.

Well, with the latest comments on here, it seems he should never have qualified for the title he had as a player ~~ " The Baby -faced assassin "
Certainly there are some hard cases in football who totally give the lie to their tough guy image with the charitable works they do mainly on the quiet.

And on it goes, first Roy Hodgson to Watford and then Steve Bruce to WBA.

Chris Wilder is working out very well for Middlesbrough😁 What a result last night. We thought they were going to get an absolute stuffing, but luck was definitely on the Boro side. Brilliant penalties from both sides. Shall be watching the Cup draw with fingers crossed now, someone easier next time out, give the lads a bit of a break🤞

But he has only had a couple of other clubs and is just learning the trade, not at all like Hodgson or Bruce. A good result for him today too.

Now I'm wondering how long the Hammers keep their manager after the silly centre half & his non-league brother have had a bit of publicity ??
I have to say that I'm not blaming the manager, dammit, he's on a shorter contract than any player obviously since he could get the elbow after a couple of bad results but the players are all on long-term contracts { Roughly }
