Crossing from Spain into France?

We are due to travel to France and Spain via Euro Tunnel soon. The plan is to travel through France and cross into Spain for a two week stay. Current rules seems to suggest that it is ok for UK citizens to cross into France and then to Spain should not be a problem. BUT, we then have to come back into France for a stay of 4 weeks and then back home via the Tunnel again. It is this part which the rules seem to suggest that France's borders are closed and only essential travel will be allowed. Has anyone got any views or insight into whether we'd be allowed back into France from Spain? I've tried to read up on a number of sites but cannot get clarity on this issue. Any views gladly received!

We crossed from France into Spain today...it is imperceptible...if we had decided we had forgotten something and turned around, I'm pretty sure the same situation applies.

the Spain coronavirus website (while detailing the requirements for air and sea entry) just states that 'land borders are open'...meaning France and Portugal, so I don't think it will be an issue.

we will be travelling back up through France on our return several weeks hence and our existing docs should suffice if asked...but as we've already been checked, should be fine.

You can update your covid passport at any time and as many times as you want.

Hello, We need some help. We will be travelling via the tunnel through France into Spain which will take us 3 nights to reach the Spanish border. The question is when we have had our covid test results (nagative) from England before we left it will be at least 3 days old when we arrive at the Spanish boarder, will this still be accepted to allow us into Spain?

Hi, See BB post above-once you are in EU land you are unlikely to notice their internal borders, let alone be stopped.

That is, fingers, arms, legs, toes, et etc firmly crossed that we don’t get other Covid related travel problems.

Hi everyone we are planning to travel to Spain, Portugal and France for 6 weeks commencing on 06/06/2022 with a Ferry trip from Portsmouth to Santandar and ending six weeks later through the Channel Tunnel. We are taking our car, caravan and two dogs. We are looking for any advice about covid requirements, dog paperwork as well as any recommendations about where to stay, sites, etc, etc, etc. Basically anything anyone thinks will be helpful. We have travelled to France before but that was back before brexit. We asked for advice the last time we went and got loads of good information so hopefully we will this time.

    Thanks for any response.

Ron Lloyd,   COVID requirements as they are right now are set out on the UKgovernment website - proof of vaccination, health control form etc. Watch that website as there will be changes before you go to Spain in June

Dog paperwork is an expensive Animal Health Certificate from a vet compiled in the final 10 days before you travel. Rumours say that too may change. Talk to your vets and see if they know.

Sites - if you would like to say what style of sites you prefer, where you would like to go and what you would like to do, then of course several of us will try to help. But you have been before! You are not a novice. Good wishes .
