UK Stickers

I've not used the travel service for several years but got one with the magazine. It does make me wonder, though, at what cost? Stickers of that size are not cheap and I'm guessing that it is only a relatively small proportion of the membership that actually take their caravans / MHs overseas so there will be thousands of unused stickers going in the bin. It was a far better idea and far less costly to send a sticker with any overseas documentation that was sent to members actually using the overseas service. The wasted money could be used to far better benefit of the membership as a whole.

I can't imagine that the Overseas dept has been overwhelmed in the past couple of years, so probably not many stickers. I wonder about the actual mechanics of selective distribution though.

Lol, I got mine from eBay, along with some nice 'cover up' UK stickers for the front and rear number plates...
Law of Sod, we boarded at Pompey an hour ago and, no doubt, there's a CC mag with stickers inside on the mat at home...
either way, the sun is out, La Manche is a millpond and I've had my first French conversation with the barman in the lounge...what's not to like👍

I didn’t get one, but photos on FB show that people who received them had an information notice (advising of the enclosed sticker) printed along the bottom of the envelope holding the mag. So, not only did they get stickers but their mags were loaded into special envelopes. Perhaps the rest of us will receive them with future editions of the mag.

You could have just cut the advertising bit off before you used it. 😂

Like you, I only used RP in 2019 but I had one this morning although I am reluctant to admit it and exacerbate DD's envy, being a fellow Carthago owner.
It does seem a bit larger than necessary. Is there a defined size?

A&J, no sticker from BF this afternoon...tight wads...
JK, yes, heading for some sunshine, a little later than normal thanks to M. Macron. In Ouistreham tonight then on our way in the morning..

Didn't get one from BF, or from the club even though I took out RP!!
Loads for sale on ebay, I got 3 for £2.50 in October.

A quick look on EBay shows at least four sizes of UK stickers, all advertising as EU and/or France usage.
180mm x 133mm, 150mm x 100mm, 127mm x 92mm, 75mm x 50mm.
I suppose as the saying goes "Bigger is always better", so will get a couple of the 180mm x 133mm stickers.

The regulations only specify a minimum size of the oval sticker. If only two letters appear on the sticker, as is the case of the UK, the minimum size is 17.5cm x 11.5cm.
The letters themselves shall be at least 8cm high and their strokes at least 1cm wide.

I've already done my number plates with stickers, for the second time as Dear Doris didn't let anybody know and I'd put GB on before the change to UK directive came.
If my bald patch gets any bigger I could use the C&MC sticker as a sunshade, so it will not go to waste.

Hi everyone,
The UK vehicle stickers were sent to selected members with their February Club Magazine. To reduce wastage and save costs for the Club, we selected members who have booked and travelled to Europe in recent years with the Club and also a selection of members who may be interested in travelling to Europe this year.
If you are travelling to Europe, you will also be able to order the branded UK vehicle sticker from our Club Shop shortly.
