Can anyone recommend a PCR testing place near Dover as we're going to have to travel to France in the near future for a funeral. I know there are several in the area but would prefer a recommendation. Or do France only require a LFT test from recognised place?

Thanks David I did read about just needing LFT later on but would still need one near Dover or maybe Portsmouth if catching a ferry, although looking at the timescale for getting to France for the funeral may be complicated and the question of testing may become redundant.

I've re-read the details and you are correct by the look of things David. So I'll just have to take a couple of LFTs with me. Thanks.

Your own tests will not be accepted for travel. You have to pay an approved private provider to test you within24 hours of travel and issue a certificate of the result.

Deleted User User: Can you possibly give the source of your post about the BBC report concerning incoming travellers? I can't find it on the Beeb's website

Deleted User User: Thank you for your response. I was interested as our Iberian holiday will end in March and the UK entry requirements seem to be changing.
