Spain - Hopefully this time!!
Hoping to finally get to spain via ferry to Santander. After staying at Oyambre and then onto Monte near madrid, we want to head towards the Denia area. Can anyone suggest good campsites in this area for a touring rig close to a beach. Kiko seems to have mixed reviews. Has anybody been there recently??
Any advice on good sites north or south of this area greatly appreciated.

We stayed at Camping Ole back in October. It's just a bit south of Kiko but the same beach, you can walk from one to the other along the beach.
Site is bigger than Kiko, variety of pitch sizes, open skies no covers. Hedges between pitches. Cycle to shops or if you have a car a short drive.
We preferred it to Kiko.

We haven't used Ole but did use Kiko last time out there....we liked it enough to consider it when we are down that way again.
thinking about ferries, when do you plan to travel...the Portsmouth-Santander ferry is pretty much full every sailing almost into March...we are checking daily but there is also the possibility of M. Macron relaxing transit travel to tourists.
the Bilbao ferry doesn't open yet..

"have you any site suggestions in Andalucia/Murcia?"
At end of May and into June....plenty of factor 50!
agree with David on site recommendations..also, Javea is nice...we used Camping Javea not top class but convenient for a few days.
Calpe is also a very popular area but I've no experience (yet) of the sites there..
are you in a MH? Loads of great (non site) stopping places in that area. Check out the Park4night app.
good luck.

Agree with you about Javea, we only stopped the one night.
Looked into Calpe first on the way north but didn't fancy it, the area was very busy and the sites were rammed and pitches were small. Certainly not up to Bonterra standard that's for sure.
Another vote for Los Madriles in Murcia, great site and would use it again.
Lo Monte is another good site, in a great area, weekends can be a bit 'Spanish' but during the week it's great.

If you're looking for a site close to the Andalucia/Murcia border you can't get any closer than Camping Bellavista in Aguilas. It's almost within walking distance of the border.
Bellavista is a small site and the pitches aren't super large either, but otherwise it's quite nice and conveniently located. We've been there 4 times ourselves.

Yes, Calpe is very popular...if you look at the winter weather, it's usually a degree or two warmer there than Benicassim which is 'very pleasant'...
we have pals who do Bonterra and a site in Calpe each winter.

Don’t know if this will help but there’s a section on how to find a vet.

It’s normally a tablet not a jab.
