    It was Troutbeck Head for me, taken with a telephoto set at 250mm (old pre-cropped sensor money) from the forest road - turn right at the top of the dog walk. You only get a few glimpses of the site along there.

    Yes spot on, we had four days of glorious sunshine then it rained for three days straight and the midges came out...

    Young Miss came home yesterday and said that at the end of the day she was asked  'miss do you know you've got playdough on your bottom?'

     Never been, but the boat is a clue. Plymouth Sound? Not doing very well here, Old Hartley is the only one we have stayed on. We clearly use too many CLs🤣

     Try this one.  We went here and got caught be the 'beast from the east'.  The last photo is just down from the site and could very well give it away...

    Absutely correct Brue... I really like the site, although, other than the pool/lake, the immediate vicinity is a bit industrial.  We did find a good pub a few miles away, which we have re-visited a number of times... 😃
