Looking for site recommendations for these two locations please! We are sorted with our other sites (St Wolfgangsee) and Rudesheim. Have stayed in various sites travelling to/from Austria we could probably use again but looking for something new next year.

We stayed at 'Terrassencamping Sandbank' on the lakeside, but at the opposite end to the town of Titasee. Terraced pitches, small restaurant, nice amenities, small boat hire and foot/cycle path lakeside to the town. Was ACSI a few years back, nice stop for a few days.

We have a friend who lives outside Munich and have used Campingplatz Obermenzing a number of times when visiting him. Link >>HERE<<

It is a while ago since our last stay there, but we found it convenient for access to Munich and autobahn.  Facilities clean and campsite fine.

We once stayed at Kirchzarten which is up the valley between Freiburg im Breisgau and Titisee.  Large flat site

We have stayed at Camping Weiherhof at the western end of Lake Titisee.

There is a waterbus service to the town which stops at a number of different places around the lake - we caught it from the Hotel Alemannenhof landing stage.

Thanks everyone, will look into those and see which works best for our dates and needs. I suspect we will ditch the idea of Munich for this trip and stop at Titisee on both outward and return legs from St Wolfgangsee. It is frustratingly just a bit far to drive from Rudesheim to Austria in a day.

Why ditch Munich (München) theres a perfect camp site in Munich directly on the River Isar. Bus Stop at the gate to take you to the Underground, you can buy transport day tickets for bus and Underground at the site. opens on the 15th March until 30th October. Also easy to get too from the Autobahn. Whats it called www.campingplatz-thalkirchen.de site is also in english. we´ve used at different times in the year and have always got a space without booking.
