Overnight stops in Germany &Austria
I'm planning a trip from Ijmuiden (ferry terminal) to Zell am See area of Austria, then from there to Vienna, then from there to Maastricht area in Netherlands.
Can anyone recommend 1 night stop overs on each of these three legs please. Thinking of Aires or Stelplatz type stops. We will be travelling in fifth wheel Celtic Rambler, so quite a large outfit.

I don’t where you want to get to each night, but websites and apps like Camper Contact will show you where the Stellplatze are so that you can select locations.
But is your 5th wheeler counted as a motorhome or a caravan? There certainly are some Stellplatze which will accept both, but others have strict Germanic rules saying motorhomes only. And the Germans do enforce their rules.

You could have a look at my sites reviews of German and Austrian campsites by going to this link http://www.davidklyne.co.uk/european_campsite_index_new_2_index.html and scrolling down to the German and Austrian sections. The pictures might give you a reasonable impression whether your outfit would have room. The Germans have some quite large A Class motorhomes so I imagine your outfit might be OK but as ET says you would need to check whether they are acceptable. At one Stellplatz we stayed at in Füssen I am sure there was a caravan and towcar. Some of the camperstops are private so up to the individual owner but I am sure a quick email would get the answer.

There’s a Stellplatz on Wurzurg, Friedensbrucke, thats next to the river. Its a large car park but takes coaches too. A short walk into the centre and ideal for one night.

We don't tend to stay on Stellplatz when in Germany so I'm not a lot of help but am wondering why you are restricting yourself to those.
Would a campsite close to a motorway suffice. If so then you'll find the one at Kitzingen just off the A3 able to accept your outfit as you park in front of it if staying the one night.

Thanks for your quick replies, there's some interesting ideas to check out.
I'm not restricting myself to Stellplatz. Just looking for information about ones on our route as I can't seem to find anything in English about them. ACSI book is good for ordinary sites. Thanks again.
