Annual General Meeting

Just made a reservation for a table at a restaurant for a months time. T&Cs state that if I don't turn up and don't give them 72 hours notice I will forfeit £10 per person. No deposit given but they do have my credit card details.
If I give them notice prior to 72 hours then no charge.
They never used to have the need to charge but too many no shows is costing them money hence the need to change. I have no problems with their T&Cs.
I understand that the CAMC may state they don't have too many no shows historically but times are changing.
Personally I would prefer the status quo but my nights on a club site per annum would make my thoughts irrelevant on the matter.

I just booked train tickets to London . I had to pay in full and there’s no refund at all if we don’t go.

But that's just a way to save on the cost of the train journey. You could have left it until you arrived at the station, when you were certain of going, and paid then be off at a higher price. Totally different to what is being proposed for club sites at the moment.

Does anyone know when the minutes are supposed to get published?

So please tell me exactly what is being proposed for Club sites.

I've just as much idea as you have, unless of course you have an "in" like others seem to have.

There have been occasions where I have turned up at a site and found choosing a pitch would be by location on the site and it mattered not whether it was grass or hardstanding. Normally when the weather was favourable.
This proposed system may stop that if I have had to choose one or the other when booking. I hope the wardens will be given flexibility in the matter. I can only assume that if there was sufficient grass pitches left over I could swap but if booking onto a "full" site then you are stuck with what's left over.
I honestly can't remember if they can switch at the moment from non awning pitch to awning if they have sufficient empty pitches or vice versa. I assume so.
Is there any indication that you will be able to choose a particular pitch? That will definitely put the cat amongst the pigeons.
Oh what fun to come.
Thankfully I don't normally end up arriving at nearly full sites but it does very occasionally happen.

WN, we have been able to change from one to the other when there are available pitches, and have done so taking a non-awning pitch, due to it's favourable position in our opinion, when having booked an awning one.

We have done the same Nellie. It depends on what is available.
