Rear Cycle carriers...
We have a BMW X3 2013 and are having difficulty finding a rear cycle rack it fit it.
Think we have found a couple so my question is - has anyone used a Saris Gran Fondo on the rear of their car? Does it foul with the hitch or front of the caravan if turning sharply?
The other alternative is the Saris Bones, has anyone used one of these?
We will also use 2 roof mounted carriers but with a top box as well carrying 4 is not possible and it is only recommended to carry 2 off the back of an X3.
Thanks. :-)

Hello,
I have a BMW X3 2012 and I want to carry two hybrid cycles whilst towing.
A cheap rear rack I had from for a previous car isn't suitable, so I was wondering if you resolved your issue and if so what was the solution?
I hope you are still enjoying your caravanning! :-)

Since 2003 I've carried bikes on the back of our Eriba's. Since about 2016 I've attached a front mounted carrier as well. I made a plate that attaches to the jockey wheel mounts and on this is bolted a tow ball. A Thule Express carrier fixes to this. When on site I can use this carrier on the car tow ball if we want to take the bikes with us for the day.
All this depends on what your nose weight and tow ball limits are. The attached are a mix of past and current van.
