Starting as massive underdogs, Team Europe face their foes at Whistling Straits and with current travel restraints will have very few fans to cheer them on. I shall be glued to the Gogglebox, with the sound turned off, in the hope we can cause a few upsets. Silencing the home fans must be the first priority of Harrington's men!

Best wishes Team Europe

It won’t be easy with the Americans screaming out their U-S, U-S-A war cry periodically & at critical times. They need someone to hate right now & boy can they hate. It would be miraculous for Europe to win(the stats say they shouldn’t)-then again ExT that’ll be the buzz👍🏻😈

The Yanks just have no class. Booing on the tee? Wearing hoodies? Hollerin and screaming, especially at inappropriate times? Applauding when Europe make a bad shot? Lawless, classless, United States of A********

It was expected🤷🏻‍♂️, it’s not the place it was even 5yrs ago. Most of the decent ones are moving here. It makes a win even better, I’m surprised team USA haven’t asked for respect☹️

The writing is on the wall with just the singles to play today and USA with a healthy 11-5 lead.

The golf has been very impressive, particularly by US, but I'm left with a gut wrenching feeling of anger and disappointment for the game of golf. Actions of the partisan crowd are to be expected, but verbal abuse towards opposition players most definitely is not (congratulations must go to members of team USA in trying to stem this)

The actions of Justin Thomas were quite extraordinary after he appeared on the first tee, downing a can of beer, spraying some of it into the air, then slamming the can into the ground, prior to the afternoon Fourballs.

It was purely yobbish behaviour and has no place in sport, not to mention golf - a sport which is supposed to embody the absolute best qualities in a person and a game which has 9 core values - Honesty, Integrity, Responsibility, Respect, Courtesy, Sportsmanship, Judgment, Perseverance, and Confidence.

Congratulations to team USA on their impending victory. I hope this post doesn't sound like sour grapes, but seriously America - you need to get a grip of yourselves (excuse the pun!)

This must have been the worst European team ever to have been sent across the pond.

I read an article in Monday’s paper asking why McIlroy in particular was getting pelters. A look at the stats tells you why, he featured in three of the worst defeats losing 5and3, 4and3 and 4and3. The fact that he won his singles match was a case of too little too late.

He can’t take all the blame however the whole team were awful. Too many of the captains picks went to old mates INMHO, and don’t get me started on the ludicrous idea to wear those cheese triangle hats.🤬

I dread to think what the Yanks will turn up with on the first tee in Rome:

Pizzas, Colosseums, Ampitheatres, Spaghetti?  Just as long as team Europe come out as Gladiators wink
